Kobe and Bron both take too many bad shots. Wade, to me, is higher than them. Nash doesn't have a high bball IQ, he just knows one system; he still chucks the ball out of bounds.

Tyler Hansborogh has a super high bball IQ. It wouldn't be as many of the stars as you think.

I'll give you G Hill, though, he came back with broke knees and still is dominating.

Of course I vote for Battier and hon. mention for Chuck Hayes, thats my team what can I say. I think if you take away someones athleticism or height would they even be in the NBA ex. a 6' D howard(prob. not) a 6' T. Duncan(Yes). Some players just know how to play(IQ).

You make good points but then you invalidate them by showing you don't watch too many basketball games outside of the ones they show on TNT/ESPN

The 2 headiest guys in the league are Grant Hill, and Shane Battier.

Its shame that Injuries robbed hill. It's all but forgotten that this man was on the cusp of being a perennial all nba-1st teamer.

the fact that he is as effective as he is still..speaks to his B-Ball IQ in my opinion

Tim Duncan is a high bball IQ player, but I'm not sure about top 5. He is great because of his amazing fundamentals not his court awareness. Why does everyone disagree with LeBron? There are guys that have the athletic ability of LeBron, but you know why they aren't the best player in the league (well maybe 2nd best), because they have a low IQ. To come in at high school, and to be able to right away play well in the pros, don't you think you'd have to be amazingly smart.

No there isn't, LeBron is on his own level. LeBron doesn't have a bad bball IQ, its just not as great as some people think it is. Like I said earlier, just because you're unselfish and a good passer does not mean you have a great bball IQ, there is much more to it than that.

With 2 bad knees and a bad ankle Tim Duncan is putting 18 and 11 with 2 blocks per game this season. He is putting up those numbers using his IQ and skills, not some 40 inch vert or superhuman strength. On top of that, he is still a solid defender. He is great and deserves to be top 5 on amazing fundamentals and great court awareness.

Lebron has been putting up great numbers since day one. He gets it done by being the biggest, strongest, and fastest at his position but his IQ is not on the same level as his athleticism. His game has been the same since day one and that's because he's relying so much on his athleticism.
