And Kurt is tougher. Bad move by magic. This puts Gooden in a difficult situation. They should of been going after a center. Maybe Rasho or Kandi.

You guys are joking abou Juwan playing the center spot right?

If you REALLY want to waste his talent stick him in the 5 spot.

Sheesh. Are the Magic really that desperate for a good big man to fill the middle? If they are then they should be looking at the guy from Minnesota.

I agree...but they did play Kemp at the C all season, so Howard would be an upgrade.

They must be intending to play him a fair bit at C...simply because Gooden cannot play SF.

they had no shot at rasho since they only have the mid-level exception to offer and he signed with SA for over 7mil/year, out of magic price range .. and Kandi signed for a lil over 5mil a year

Actually, Kandi signed for the mid-level. It's a 3 year contract with 10% salary increases each year. That's why it looks like it's a bit over $5 mil. His starting salary is at $4.9 mil, which is a pretty good deal for a big man.

There's a rumor going around that Kandi's agent, who is also Rasho's agent, who was also college roommates with Kevin McHale (Wolves GM), gave Kandi to the Wolves that cheap because of his relationship with McHale and the foreknowledge about Rasho bolting. That's why other teams didn't go after Kandi that aggressively with their mid-level.
