I don't see how that is possible at all. In Toronto we are talking about a team that has only made it past the first round ONCE in its entire history and has only been to the playoffs five times. That equals out to zero prestige. The only team you can put down there with that is the Grizz, Clippers, and the Bobcats and they have only been around for 5 years. At least historically bad teams like the Wolves have a Hall of Fame player they could tie thier name too and at least a decent run of success. The Raptors have never had more than 3 winning seasons in a row. The greatest and most known thing in Raptors history is Vince Carter winning the dunk contest in 2000.

Re: The Chris Bosh Saga
Gotta love Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (and Toronto sports in its own right if you include the Rogers-owned Jays). Every time they have a potential star on their hands, they let him go. It's been that way since Harold Ballard left his indelible mark on Toronto sporting history in the Leafs' front office.
Why these guys have mismanaged their teams with the kind of money they rake in is beyond me. Even when they sign solid players (as the MLSE-owned Leafs, Raps and TFC did this year), they still can't seem to get off their feet and over the hump.
The Bosh trade rumors don't surprise me considering Toronto teams always seem to be letting their superstars go. He's definitely the face of this team and its centerpiece but aside from him, the Raps don't have any sort of depth at forward with the possible exception of Bargnani (if they were to move him from center to PF after the Bosh deal).
Heard on ESPN that the Thunder may be in the market for CB4 and may be willing to exchange draft picks as well as a player (Jeff Green's name always seems to be popping up, at least in the ESPN report). If this turns out to be true, OKC just may have the most underrated starting lineup in the league with Durant, Westbrook and CB4.
If Toronto wants to keep things consistent, they need MLSE to start spending money wisely. But knowing MLSE and the way they manage their teams despite all their vast financial holdings, the mediocrity may just continue until kingdom come...Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Y'all can forget about CB4 being traded at the deadline, at least.

Re: The Chris Bosh Saga
In the NFL or MLB it's not that horrible (it's actually pretty good in those leagues), but in the NBA it's abysmal.
Here is the list of teams who have fewer than 5 playoff appearances since the 95-96 season:
Charlotte Bobcats
Golden State Warriors
Los Angeles Clippers
Memphis Grizzlies
That's terrible company to be in.Comment
