i hate lebrons step back to halfway and iso

he does it way too much. Basically tells his hole team to stand still while he makes the basket. Sure being the fantasia talent he is he gets alot of them, but he just does it over and over.
Lebron needs to get over his ego and realise he needs others to be great.
Lebrons biggest weakness is his ego

Well I could see if he wasnt a willing passer out of the iso...he makes just as many plays passing as he does scoring. I agree he shouldnt hold the ball at the top of the key as much...but thats more Mike Browns philosophy then some scheme by LeBrom to showcase his skill...dont get me wrong..dude has enough ego for everyone in the league....but not on the court..

Join the millions of Cavaliers fans. It's the worst offense in the NBA but it somehow, magically, works for the Cavaliers.

It doesn't work too well in the playoffs, though. It's a shame, cuz the team is REALLY good when they are running their offensive sets.

It almost cost the Cavs the game last night. For some reason in crunch time they go to "LeIso" and they did it again last night. Of course as soon as that happened, that's when the Lakers just about got back into the game and won it.

LeIso and the pull up, heat check 3's LeBron takes piss me off but when it works, it works. It's like how Ben Gordon was for Bulls fans last year against the Celtics. He'd jack up a shot and you'd say "No..no..no...yes!" because he somehow ends up making them.

He has a better mid-range game than most people give him credit for, but he is too big, strong, fast, and can jump too high to not take it to the rack and score, go to the line, or get an and one. He can continue to develop his jumper, but if he relied more on his ability to drive and finish and find open players, it would make them a better team.

What about post up? He's the most impressive athlete in the NBA and yet he's some what guardable because he doesn't punish smaller and weaker defenders down low. Imagine LBJ with a post game. Guards wouldn't be able to stop him from overpowering them. Forwards and centers would watch him blow them by after he faces them up and takes it to the rack. If LeBron ever develops a post game, he will become the best basketball player in the history of the Association.

I definitely agree that the two parts of his game to work on are his jumper and his post up game. I was just saying that right now, he needs to play to his strengths more, and his biggest strength is getting to the basket. When he does, he either scores, gets to the line, or both.

LeBron does plenty of getting to the basket.

Do you think he settles for the jumper too much? I thought that was your point a few posts ago.

I'm not saying he doesn't get to the rack, I'm saying he should go to the rack most of the time until somebody stops him. He reminds me of a young Shaq in that he has one part of his game that no one can stop. There is nobody that can stop him from getting to the rim as long as he is not out of control but he shoots twice as many jumpers as he does shots at the basket. Shaq has gotten onto him at times this season for being too passive.

No, my point was the Cavs run "LeIso" too much, especially in crunch time and that when LeBron makes a 3, he likes to pull up for those heat check 3's. When it works, you have something like the Milwaukee game but more often than not it doesn't.

IMO, LeBron goes to the rack plenty and he knows when to as well. Look at last night against the Lakers late in the 4th quarter. I can't remember the exact situation but there was a stop on one end, LeBron got the ball and sliced through basically the entire Lakers D to draw the foul and the timing was perfect.

For the sake of the longevity of his career, I don't think LeBron needs to be always driving to the basket even though he is built like a frickin' tank. He just needs to drive at the right time and I think he does that.

WTF is a Heat Check 3 and where did that term come from? Does the ball catch on fire like on NBA Jam when he shoots them or something? LOL.

Oh and Lebron driving to the hole full speed is probably the most unstoppable move in Sports right now because of the fact that it's guaranteed points either with a foul or without it. I say keep doing it when there's nothing to stop you from doing it period.

heat check (heet chek) noun. An occasion on which a basketball player takes a questionable (i.e., bad) shot in order to determine how "hot" he is, usually after hitting several shots in a row.

i think what made the dubbed 'leiso' more obvious was seeing how kobe plays with his team vs how lebron is. Kobe takes over when he needs to but he also trusts his team mates alot more too. I know too he has the better team now too. I guess you could compare the lebron now with the kobe a few years ago.
I think lebron is probably more skilled than kobe, physically also. But kobe has the much better mindset and hence why he is the best at the moment. I know lebron is still young, i just think he needs someone he respects to tell him to grow up.
