Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
Explain with actual facts instead of saying it. Is it the simple fact that Wade does 360's and Roy doesn't? Explain.
The "LOL"' is getting lame dude. Let me guess you think PP is the greatest basketball player ever huh?Comment

LOL, using the Nets as an argument...
did you see the record of the Wolves and Warriors?
Wade is a smart player. Dude just admit you're a homer...Comment

Roy is closer to Wade's level than people think. Next season he could surpass D-Wade.My Teams:
NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
NFL-Carolina Panthers
MLB-San Francisco Giants
NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
A tough call? My argument about Wade vs. Roy is more legit. Durant is on another tier compared to Mello. If I was a Blazer "homer" I would pick Mello over Durant (I think we all know why). Durant lead a crap team into the Western Conference playoffs along with Westbrook and a bunch of role players. Denver has 2 stars in Anthony and CB along with a pretty good big man that has played every game this season. Denver also has veterans while OKC has inexperienced players. How hard do you think that is on Durant? The stats do not lie...Better shooter in every apect.
The difference between Roy and Wade is Wade is flashy. People mistake productivity with high flying slam dunks and crowd pleasers. Wade is flashy although it works...Roy is a smarter player. Roy lays it up when he can dunk (And trust me he can dunk). I bet Roy would do pretty well in that "conference" of the East side as well. A lot of good competition on that side. I would hate having the New Jersey Nets and Wizards for a double header!
Dude, look at that roster..Last edited by Jukeman; 03-28-2010, 05:17 PM.Comment

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
lol you guys are the one getting defensive. Roy just as good as Wade?! LOL!
Why is that even laughable? It actually boggles my mind how many people disagree with the fact that Roy at least deserves to be in the same tier. I am not defensive I am looking for reason. I already had a post with statistics...I am looking for the same. If you are looking for real stuff...Ask the others or yourself to give it.Comment

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
Not at all...But that's what everyone keeps saying D-Wade is more explosive. D-Wade is explosive only because his team sucks. That's it. He wills himself every night because if he did not...They would be a crap team. That to me is impressive. Roy however does not have to...Which will make him fresher for the playoffs. If anyone notices Roy forces his will at the end of games, and it typically ends with a W.

Wade has had good teams in the past and still been a premier scorer. And he's still a willing passer, a great rebounder and shotblocker for a guard.
He can take over a game at any time something which Roy can't really do consistently, yet.
Roy is the 3rd best SG by far in the game, but he is clearly below Wade.Comment

3 pt stats don't matter at all. Roy is a better shooter than LeBron or Kobe. Doesn't make him better.

I respect the post...It's very understandable.Comment

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
The deal breaker to me, and while some may not like this stat, it says the overall ability of a player...
PER
Wade: 28.1 second in the league behind LeBron
Roy: 22, fifteenth in the league.Comment

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
Obviously not, but it's a good stat to use when comparing two players...
Like I said, some don't agree with it.
Apart from 3pt shooting, there is nothing Roy does better than Wade, IMO.Comment

Re: Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?
NBA 2008-09 season player stats by quarter and overtime, including points, rebounds, assists, field goal percentage and more.
Wade averaged only .4 more points than Roy last year in the 4th quarter while shooting exceptionally better (Which has a lot to do with Brandon Roy's will to win). Anyone have an updated version?Comment
