Agreed on this one. If they can bring in that combination, you let anyone on that roster walk away.

I have a tough time believing they'll land that trio, though, so losing Lee in the process would be a mistake.

I'm sure someone out there is already calling him Avid Lee and that's fine because he does need to work on his D, but every team would be lucky to grab a guy that can put up 15-10 every night.

Not landing all three, just any one of them. If they have to lose David Lee to get a Chris Bosh or Wade or LeBron, then it seems like an easy decision to me.

I'd rather pay Lee 7-8 million, if he was willing to accept that, than to pay Bosh 15-16 million.

Only 2 player in this class are really worth the max.

Wade and obviously Carlos Boozer.

He's a good player, but he's not great. It's easy to rack up points on a horrible team. He doesn't have the nickname Dave the Doorman for nothing. He is literally one of the worst defensive players in the NBA. and don't give me that he's guarding centers all the time. He has never guarded the paint in his life.

He's just getting his right now, working for a contract. Doing nothing to make his team any better. Just jacking up shots.

If this team is built around David Lee, haha. We are screwed for at least 10 more years.

How's he supposed to make us better? He doesn't have a lot of scorers around him. Of course he has to jack up shots. Unless you want more shots for Gallinari and Chandler I don't get your point.

Don't see how he's padding stats, he's shooting 55%, just like last year, and the year before. He's rebounded throughout his entire career, whether he's playing with good rebounders or not. His defense is not good, but he's guarding centers, and the rest of the roster sucks at defense for the most part. On a better team his defense would not be exposed like this.

The original post is going to far, but he is a very good player. I think he's rated pretty correctly around the league, but a lot of Knicks fans underrate him. Not sure why, maybe because they don't think he'll be here next year, maybe because he's tried to be like every other player and sign a fair contract. Don't know.

I agree that I would absolutely pay Lee half of what Bosh wanted instead of signing Bosh, but I think it will take more than that. Going to have to see how everything plays out to see if he'll be back, but he's a very good player who anybody would want.

There's always a player on a bad team that gets stats simply because they are there to be got. Someone has to get em.

He's a decent player but nothing special in my opinion.

But... what kills it for me is he is a cry baby. He gets blocked and he'll stay down the other end crying about it then try to trash talk the defender who blocked him (and even start girl fights) for the next 5 minutes. He's a joke. I've not seen many whingers as bad as him. He hates being pushed around too. Meh, he'll be forgotten in a year or so, like he never existed.

I don't see him starting any "girl fights" with other players.... at all. The only thing that I see this year that kind of annoys me is the fact that he started arguing damn near every call. It's pretty annoying.

And I don't understand how he could "disappear" in a few years... unless he suffers a serious injury or something like that.

Except that he's one of the most efficient scorers in the league.

Rebounding, you could make that argument, but he has been a consistent rebounder his whole career.

I think the word "GREAT" gets thrown around far too loosely in this generation.

I remember a couple of years back people were asking if Baron Davis was one of the top 3 PG's in the league because of the series against Dallas.

I like that team a lot Pack. The best way to hide a bad defensive big is to have a pogo stick like defensive Small Forward who can grab boards, and provide weak side shot blocking. Lee and Lopez would be one of the better offensive front courts in the league...

I think Lee is padding his stats, but the guy still brings effort. I don't think that'll suddenly change just cause he got a big contract.

EDIT: I forgot about Terrence Williams. He'd fit that bill nicely...
