Tim Duncan is a great player, but the question in this thread was in regards to whether you would choose Shaq or JKidd as your franchise player.

I'm a Nets fan, but I'd have to go with Shaq as well. Though Kidd and Duncan wouldn't be any less effective if they led a franchise. Shaq did lead his Magic team to the Finals as did Duncan in his rookie yr and Kidd in his first two years on the Nets.
