I honestly don't see how DX has Daniel Orton going #14.. Truthfully I don't see how Orton could even go the 1st round. Orton and Bledsoe would have benefited more from another year of college than almost anybody in this Draft.

I completely agree about Orton. He averaged 3ppg and 3 rpg in his only year in college coming off the bench. Orton should have come back and started for UK in 2010-2011 and expanded his game. He probably could have raised his draft stock into the lottery for next year.

As it is now, I can see him falling out of the 1st and being a high 2nd round pick unless he has a "Darko workout" and gives a GM a hard-on.

I dunno about Bledsoe, didn't see enough of him. I'm hearing he is a set shooter, but he has some PG skills right? I don't know how to evaluate him other than he is a great college 3pt shooter.

I'm of the belief that if you're projected to go in the 1st round you should leave. He's a mystery right now and with a lack of solid bigs coming out of college he's going to attract a lot of attention this year. He could use a lot of refining but I don't think it's dumb of him to test the waters.

Yeah I agree. He showed enough physical gifts at UK for someone to take a chance on him in the mid-first round considering he's a true big man. They just have to know that it's a long term investment and you run the risk of his first contract running out and him bailing on your franchise before he contributes a damn thing.

It's mostly questionable attitude and work ethic. But both are good low post scorers, big bodies, and have good hands. Cousins rebounds better than Curry but Cousins seems like the type that if he doesnt have good coaching, he could lose his motivation.

As far as Orton goes, it'd just be based on potential. Look how thin the Center position is, though.

Not a knock but it's hard for me not to see the comparisons between the 2 for what Ruff stated, body type/work ethic although Cousins seems to care more when he's on the court.

I'm a fan of Cousins. I think he rebounds well, gets great position when posting up, can run the court, and has the early makings of a post-game.

He'll be a fun one to track over the next few years. Looks like he's the prospect that we are split on the most in this thread.

On Topic: New Mock Draft as of May 1st from DX: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2010/

So far, the majority of Mock Drafts I've read have had us going Wall, Warren and Lawal with our picks in the draft and I've also some rumors that the Nets could look to possibly buy another pick, although it's highly unlikely that'll happen.

                        The Hornets need a 3, not a 4.

Wes Johnson dropped, not surprising, and why the hell is Cole Aldrich rising?

If the Kings got Cousins, they are going to be DEEP as far as bigs go.

According to DX they'll take a big man regardless, 3-7 in their mock is all interior front court players except for Aminu.
