    About Favors:
"He isn't in shape," Kahn said. "You could see that right off the bat."

"Liked him, as we thought we would," Kahn said. "He's quite a specimen when he's 18 years old. ... You have to be patient for him because he's so raw and still so undeveloped. But I think he has the opportunity to be a very fine player in this league."

Wallace Prather: "Writer was trying to make something out of nothing. Spoke to David Kahn about it, he was extremely positive about Derrick"

Yeah I don't believe anything Chad Ford says, for the most part, anytime there's a supposed trade, I'm not really going to believe it.

So I won't say anything about Portland.

I'm done believing in Ford after last trade deadline.

I call BS on this.. Why would the Wolves offer the 4th pick for Batum and if you are the TrailBlazers wouldn't you hit accept as fast as you can..

Unfortunately I would of declined as well. If you take a look at Batum's game he is definitely going to be better than the #4 pick in this crappy draft. We do not need another rookie project when Batum has developed into one of our better role players. Batum will be good...Yeah yeah yeah I'm a Blazer fan you should not overrate the players...But this guy has mad game. Extremely great defender...Lengthy...Can hit the three. His defense is already solidified...Not a lot of people like him or know who he is because his offense.
His offense will improve in the next couple seasons...He is so young.

I doubt the Nets are leaning towards Johnson now. I think they're trying to swap picks with Minny and get an extra late pick out of them that they are about to get from the Griz

Why trade a great defender at the three for an unproven rookie who will backup Camby/Aldridge/Joel? If anything I would take that pick and combine it with the other picks...Put in a young role-player and make a Blockbuster.

All I can say is Camby is on his last leg. Aldridge is for sure a soft PF. Pryz is expendable and Oden's health has to be a worry.

                        Fixed

Camby is in exceptional shape for his age...I give him 2-3 years of good ball. I mean it would be nice to have:

                        C: Camby/Joel/Mr. Cripple
                        Pf: Aldridge/(Monroe)Favors/Howard

It would enhance our front line a lot, but it would make things very complicated at the 3 to say the very least. It's a fair trade for both teams don't get me wrong, but the complications after that trade probably would not be worth it. It's a big risk to take...It's like drawing a name out of a hat and hoping it's good. I think with a player like Batum the Blazers know what they would be getting.

If that trade went through Webster would be our starting SF...Who is behind him? Rudy? No because he will probably not be in a Blazer uniform next year and if he is...Very undersized SF. Get one late in the draft? Sure but most likely he will be a replacement.

Again the Blazers need to focus on the bigger picture...Getting solid rookie backups wont make them into a contender. I say KP should of took the trade...Then use that pick in a package deal to get a more polished SF. It's all about upgrading...The time of getting talent is done. It's now time to trade that talent for teams wishing to get under the cap.

I'm huge on Monroe...The guy has great size.

Fresno State swingman Paul George visited the Grizzlies today and created the most buzz of any NBA draft prospect so far – on and off the court.
The 6-9 George put on an eye-popping display of versatility while proving he could be an NBA shooting guard at his size. George also shared his vision of the Grizzlies should they draft him Thursday with the 12th overall pick.

                          In another development,
ESPN.com's Andy Katz, citing an unnamed source, is reporting the Grizzlies are close to trading their Nos. 25 and 28 picks to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 16 pick.

Potential No. 12 George, in his vision for the Grizzlies, pretty much excluded small forward Rudy Gay from the picture.
“I could come here and add a lot of depth to this team,” George said when asked how he might fit in with the Griz. “Hopefully, we get Rudy (Gay) to come back. I wouldn’t mind if he leaves. That would be an extra spot. But it would be a good team.”

Like OSU posted, some mocks had us going Johnson now(which more than what was out before considering every other mock draft had us going Favors.

I'd say in terms of stepping in right now and contributing it would be:
                            Johnson - Cousins - Favors

                            That dirty word "potential"
                            Favors - Cousins - Johnson

                            Likely to be a bust
                            Cousins- Favors - Johnson

What contracts do you guys have to make the salaries match.

Bosh ain't going anywhere for 5/96

He's gonna get his 6/126 no doubt about it.

EDIT: Bah, you guys are under the cap. So we may as well just get a future 1st and a trade exception.

And man, if we don't take Paul George if at 13 if available, i'm gonna blow a gasket,.
