How can you even draw that conclusion? That team has good depth, just very young, but they also have a ton of cap space this off-season too so they can add another big piece to their team.

            .
I do have better access considering i'm at the Meadowlands about 3 times a week and i went to a bunch of games this year since like i said before, i work in the ticket business and talk to people involved with marketing and tickets and we talk about what people are saying. Same thing with the Knicks, we do a ton of business with MSG and ive had a lot of conversations with guys that are up there every day around people high up and they can get a sense of what those people feel.

I spend more time at the Meadowlands and MSG then i do in the office it seems like although now that has slowed down a little. I was up at Izod Center today picking up seats for 2 different events and i was talking to our sales person we deal with about tonight and how everyone was excited that they finally had something to look forward to and how everyone is hoping they get Wall.

So dont tell me i dont have any more insight than you do. I may not know exactly what the teams are doing and i may not be speaking with Donnie Walsh or Kiki but i talk to people who spend everyday up there and they give me a pretty good sense of what the feeling is around those places.

Do you honestly need to have a job working around Knicks/Nets fans in order to know what they think? Checking the realGM boards a few times a week can get me just as much info as you.

Ha, compared to the Kings, Nets, Sixers, & T-Wolves who will be legit title contenders next year???

And again, the same type of info you're getting I can find out as well. It's not like you're getting top flight Nuclear Secrets or anything LOL.

But this thread isn't about who has more access to more top secret stuff or whatever. The point that I was making is that it's simply not the end of the world just because we didn't get the #1 pick considering we've experienced worse than this.

Right now, I expect people to be upset but after a while it'll cool down and people will start to see that we still have plenty of flexability to improve this team.

If you are such an insider you should know that I have about as much influence as Kiki does with the Nets.

Here's an idea...trade the #3 pick, 2 more #1s, and Devin Harris to the Hornets for Chris Paul.

Like the other poster said, he tends to show bad body language a lot. He used to lose his temper fairly quickly but by mid-SEC season he kept it under wraps and played off it. The biggest thing he complained about was just getting beaten up underneath. Guys took cheap shots at him all the time trying to set him off. Unfortunately for them that usually equated to a 20+p 10+rb game.

He also did talk back to Calipari often. Mostly in the beginning of the year but got better towards the end. Still showed up now and then but not as much. Calipari knew how to handle him, but it was a progress. Cousins was working himself out of the bad habits really well, but he wasn't done learning yet and that is the only thing I feel will hold him back. If he can continue to mature, surround himself with the right people and have a coach to help him (he is only 19), he will be one of the best big men in the league. But that's a big IF.

Here is a background story on Cousins and gives some insight as to your first question. Where did this stem from?

Off the court he was LOVED LOVED LOVED. Very funny character, prankster, signed everything and always took pictures. Obviously his talent will be sorely missed, but his character is what I will always remember him by. And I will always remember him.

lol I love when people pull the "I live in [insert city here] or I know people who work around [insert team name here] therefore I know more than you" card. This is 2010. You can find out any info you want on a team just with a quick search on the internet. Living in a certain area doesn't provide you with any more information that someone 2,000 miles away can't find.

Only issue with that is I don't see why the Hornets would want a PG. They have Collison, and he looks friggin' great.

Wall at least gives effort on D. A lot people (myself included) knock his defense because of the athletic gifts he has but you know you have to want to play defense.

Wall did have some times he didn't play good or much defense. There were a lot of times when he did too though. The thing with Wall is he is a HARD worker. He wants to be the best that has ever played the game and is determined to reach that goal. That isn't him being cocky, he is just very talented and very dedicated to the game and has extreme confidence. That is why he can shoot poorly for 35 minutes of a game and then score 10 points in the final 5 minutes with a last second shot to win (those are not accurate numbers, it was something close to this but I don't have time to look it up...the point is he was clutch).

I have no doubt in my mind that he will do everything he possibly can to reach that goal. I expect his shooting percentage to get better from the 3 and I expect him to play lock down defense. He has all the tools possible to become on of the greats, but he will need guidance which I am sure he will get.

well obviously not when a guy from Maryland is telling me Nets fans wont be too disappointed not getting Wall when the only 2 things Nets fans have really been talking about since 1/4 into the season is getting the #1 pick and the thought of having a chance at Lebron.
