LeBron James, What you just did was an act of a coward. You have taken the easy way out & turned your back on greatness. You will regret it. 18 minutes ago via web

Seriously? Is this the crap we're going to have to hear? This is almost as annoying as the inevitable Heat bandwagoners. Hey newsflash people, you still have to go out and WIN a championship. You can have all the talent on one team you want.

It hurt to hear it. But it was expected. I agree about the "dog and pony" show. It wasn't cool. I really do have a hard time with the possiblity of him every talking about loyalty again. He became the worst stereotype of sports tonight. He made it about him. Even said he needed to be happy. Wonder if Brett Farve was happy, losing year after year? It took him forever to win and he would've never left, save the fact he didn't feel wanted anymore. LeBron went into straight selfish mode tonight. It is really painful to hear. And I'm not really feeling the desire to watch the NBA much anymore. I really thought he was different. At least D Wade was loyal.....

I know he'll never, ever see this, but did he for one second think about the future of the Cavs? They had no draft picks this year. Why? To help him a winning team now. They sold the whole future of the franchise to build for him to be able to win. He killed a franchise tonight. I've never seen a more disloyal player in the history of any sport....

Wow...I'm surprised at the anger towards Lebron by non-Cav fans. I'm not sure why folks think this is a bad thing for the NBA...next year Phil, Kobe, and the Lakers are going for a 3-peat and now you have a team like this that they might have to overcome. I can't think of a better storyline for the NBA honestly...

Akron's done for. Not as big as Cleveland, but I doubt the police force is as big and the people aren't as centralized as Cleveland

He's so selfish that he went selfless and joined up with Wade and Bosh, basically relegating his role to a fraction of what it would be if he stayed in Cleveland. Got it.

Lebron isn't being selfish, the fans are being selfish. He has been there for 7 years, taken a horrible team to the Finals, and got what should've been an average team two 60-win seasons. Now the same people who were all over him now want to downplay his talent and call him a coward.

Lest we forget how Kobe conducted his NBA business between 2004-2007.

This thread isn't about him, and I'm not excusing LeBron's behavior, but Jesus, let's not act as if Kobe Bryant is a ****ing NBA saint.

That's why people are saying he's gonna regret it.

People are gonna pencil the Heat in the Finals with the Lakers. As it stands, they can't win a 7 game series with the Celtics right now. They have NO BENCH. Are all 3 of them gonna play 48 games every night? Sure they'll win a ton of regular season games, but you need your bench to win a 7 game series.

People just assume the Heat'll get all the players to take the minimum and fill their roster out...uh uh.

Not every player is motivated by championship rings than $$'s.

Also, LeBron James isn't leaving $30 mil on the table, cuz Nike is gonna have his back. And don't forget the NBA has boosters too.

LeBron to NY, Heat, Knicks, Magic, Bulls all battle to get out of the East. I'd take that over the center of basketball potentially lying in one of the least supportive cities (in terms of sports) in America. Where have Miami's fans been when they aren't winning? Remember the Marlins?
