LeBron was never a good leader in Cleveland. He was a terrible one. How would he ever end up being the leader of the Heat over Wade?

The Jeter & A-Rod comparison is perfect in this regard.

Gotta go with you on this one, what has Miami done before Bron and Bosh to be labeled as this ultimate team that Lebron needed? They barely made the playoffs last year. How do people Label Lebron as robin before any games have been played?

          Stop calling LeBron Pippen 2.0

I loved Pippen, please don't disrespect him.

Lebron got the Cavs to the Finals, the Eastern Conference finals, and dominated in the regular season. Vince Carter in his prime didn't come close todoing what Lebron did.

You're right, it's not a fair comparison. The Fab 5 got paid more than the New 3.

If I had the ability to go play with my goodfriends in South Beach and automatically become the favorites in the East I would in a heartbeat. This is like the Fab 5 for Michigan.
It's Wade Team because he has a title their already and is a Finals MVP. MIAMI IS WADE Country and just becuase LePippen decide's to go their dont make him the King of South Beach.

'The Chosen' one doesnt go to another alpha-dog's franchise, and gravy train off of him.

when you boil it down, that's really what it is.

That's his right though, but to me..all of the heir apparent stuff is done.

He's now officially a sidekick...and I suspect that mentally, he probably had more Pippen in him then any of us ever wanted to admit or notice.
                    What gravy train?

If Bosh or LeBron dont sign Wade is leaving. 1 ring isnt a gravy train.

They won a title with Shaq on the team and have been pretty bad with Wade trying to win on his own.

Everyone talking about who the leader will be, it'll be just like Boston's big 3. They'll all be equal, but it'll always be Wade's team(just like the Celtics are and will be Pierce's team until he retires).

So Mike could walk in to Portland and say that to Clyde Drexler? I doubt a guy like that would simply lay over for Mike just because he said so. I just wouldn't see Mike going to a team that already had an established star on it anyway, I just don't.

And I do believe that, in spite of his lack of belief, that the Cavs would've gotten championships there. He lost the faith, not anyone else. Maybe everyone else was the naive? That said, he could've tried to have the determination it took to see it through. Michael had to tough it out. Even Kobe, post the ringer era, had to tough it out. Both got the help they needed, and made it. LBJ lost faith in the organization, the fans, the city. Michael never did, he just used his force of will to get the help he needed. Kobe waivered and whined but, ultimately, kept heart. LBJ lost heart, legacy tarnished. He didn't make it happen, he quit. Real champs never quit or take an easier road, they overcome. That's why I fault him, rally speech or not.
LBJ was a free agent though. I really can't fault the guy too much. I really think he saw no way he could win in Cleveland for the forseeable future. Byron Scott is a good NBA coach and Williams, Jamison, Hickson, etc. are good players...but it's frankly not a team good enough to win the whole thing and won't be for awhile. And there is little Cleveland could do about it. When you add in the pressure of carrying that whole city and the grim reality that it probaly can't get done, I think anyone would've turned away from the situation.

I also admire the fact that LBJ did not give too much thought to his 'legacy' or being compared to MJ. I truly believe that he wants to have fun, win, and play with an incredible player in Wade.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

If they had won last year then that would make sense but they won 4 years ago and lost in the first round of the playoffs this year. There is no gravy train.
