Something out of nothing, which is usually the case most times in regards to Mr. James.

I just posted the link because I remember hearing a bunch of times in this same thread. How people praised Rose for not trying to talk to LeBron in to coming to the Bulls... I remember reading that very clearly. I think there is even video on youbute.

Hmmm, maybe you're right, I don't remember that myself, but I do know for a fact that we knew back in July that Derrick texted Bron and Boozer called him. Doesn't really matter at this point though.

I know I praised Rose for not 'kissing his ***'. Obviously, it'll work against the a organization trying to get LeBron to Chicago if the star player didn't reach out to him. I don't think the question of Rose reaching out to him was the problem, it was how he reached out to him. If I could remember, sources did say that LeBron was upset that Rose didn't CALL him. But I don't think nobody doubted that he at least text-message him. So he did reach out to LeBron, but apparently LeBron wanted more from Rose than that.

Which is why I still praise Rose for what he did. Rose did his due diligence and that's all he could do. He's not going to dance for him to come to the Bulls. We'll be a good team, with or without you.

Dice.... I just remember people making a huge deal that Rose had said he had not contacted LeBron about coming to Chicago. Everyone hyped it up a little too much.

But I don't think Derrick Rose would agree with your last 2 sentences lol. From what his text message said. It sound like he was just trying to kill the noise about what he said so LeBron wouldn't get it twisted. He does want to play with him. And all he really wants to do is win.

Well, they are a good team without LeBron, right?

I dont think it really mattered to Rose or not

The guy was putting in work this summer regardless

He seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't sweat it like if he comes cool, if not im still good

Sure a text is not much of a recruitment but all of a sudden players are responsible for the job of the organizations?

How the hell can you blame the organizations when a player EXPECTS another player to recruit him?

Seems to me, 23, that this is not a situation where you can heap all the blame on the organizations while giving no blame to the players.

Im not blaming anybody at all, so im not following you

Im saying is this what the NBA has come to now? Players are now expected to also be the biggest pitchers of the organizations?

These are the same teams that want these guys to take paycuts as well

People did make a little stink about Rose not forcing the issue but truthfully even if he didn't, its not his freaking job to be a part time recruiter and convince x y and z to sign their career over to management.

What I'm saying is that I don't think it was the organizations who have pushed this.

The players, the free agents, they want to be recruited by other players. If you are to blame anyone, blame the free agents who act like spoiled brats.

I get what you're saying and agree with your premise that it isn't exactly the player's job to do recruiting and it probably shouldn't be expected of them. At the same time however, the teams aren't the ones complaining about Derrick in this situation, this is bloggers and beat writers and what not apparently bitching that he didn't bend over backwards for LeBron. But again doesn't really matter much now at this point. Just goes to show how much LeBron screwed that whole thing up for himself. Either he planned all along to go to Miami with his boys and he comes off like a douche through it all or he was legitimately trying to decide where to go and passed up on the Bulls and a really good situation cause someone didn't sufficiently kiss his *** about him coming to his team. He was pretty much burned either way.
