What about Cleveland ? They beat some crazy odds, felt a little scripted to prepare the return of LBJ.

I don't even know what to hope for or where is the team heading to. We might not see Ingram and Lonzo play in a lakers uni again and that saddens me.

I don't know about that Jeebs. They're still discussing the K-Why incident and it's not looking good for your future here with us.

Last night early in the game on commentary, JVG was saying you gotta put everything on the table including trading LeBron.

Now I'm sure LeBron has a no-trade clause, but let's say he didn't and LAL actually did that; with how many failed attempts they had at landing big FAs, would that not permanently kill their chances of landing another big star in FA if they traded away the one big name that actually signed with them?

It would be beyond dumb unless LeBron asked to be moved.

Van Gundy drinks during the games, in case y’all didn’t know that.

And no, it wouldn’t “permanently” kill their chances of getting or meeting with another big name FA in the future.

They’ll still be in those same conversations just like how the Knicks can be despite what’s been going on with them on/off the court over the last 20 years.

Man...It just finally hit me... That after 8 straight finals.... LeBron won't be in the playoffs. So I went back and looked last year crazy playoff run. It was nice while it lasted.

I debate between what his greatest offensive season was, 2014 or 2018. He was scoring with such ease in 2018 and at that point he was probably at his most effective in the post. but in 2014 his efficiency was crazy and he would always have these explosive stretches where he would drop like 15 points within a few minutes.

Yeah I've always had a hard time figure which was the best. Because I feel LeBron was in a system on the Heat. Best ball movement. And I feel he didn't work as hard for his looks. While on the Cavs that year. I feel as though he did a lot of dribble and forced shots here and there.

I felt as though in 2014. He was in his best shape ever. They pushed the ball more. And just overall had better quality shots because of the crazy offense Spo came up with. I remember Zach Lowe breaking it down.

Eve though this is a miss. How does a defense cover that kind of movement?

                          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qMJBLQNWbUU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                          Or....

There is no name for the cut by LeBron in the below play. But Spo started putting this in all their pick and roll sets. Any time Wade or LeBron were on that weakside they took advagtage of their man leaving and then replacing. By cutting against the defenders vision. Giannis and a few others do this now. When you sag off your giving him a head start.

                          Spoiler

Also their offense open the door to the 5 out and 4-1. And all the crazy things we see today. The other change the league had to go through was the 4 man had to change. Because they were trapping PG's. Who had to pass it to big who had to make a split second decision.

                          Spoiler

Obviously playing with Kyrie was awesome. I still don't think Cavs should have ever traded him. Just like the AD situation now. I would have never traded my future asset for a hurt player. I though Kevin Love just like Bosh. Didn't get enough credit. I hope this team is brought into 2k as a classic team soon.

As good as an athlete and scorer I consider Lebron to be, these videos show why I have always considered him on a level quite below the hype he gets.

Some people are very harsh on him, but I think it's not simply because they hate him, but because of certain attitudes he's had on and off the court during his career. In that sense it's justified.

His best offensive year to me is either 2012-13 or 2013-14.

                              Re: The LeBron James Thread

The second video is on point. He's had a ton of help in his career since he left CLE the first time. Wade, Bosh, Irving, and Love are better supporting stars than most greats got to play with. Every one of those guys had to take on a reduced role to fit into the required BronBall system. You could put four guys from All-NBA First Team on LeBron's squad and every one of them would have their role greatly reduced. You wouldn't see a balanced mesh like with GSW. Bosh essentially became a spot up shooter, much like Love. Funny that those players' reduced statistical impact fed into the narrative that LeBron's supporting cast was always weak or didn't show up in various series. You could see the disarray the young Lakers core was in this year trying to adjust to BronBall.

LeBron is at his best when he is allowed to carry a team full of role players. He's the best there's ever been at maximizing role players and carrying teams farther than they should go, granted playing in the weak East played a sizeable role in that. He'll put up monster numbers like his 36/13/9 '15 Finals series and everyone will be blown away. There's a weird irony about one of the most unselfish basketball players having a style that makes his best teammates worse. I think that's why there's truth to KD's statements about stars not wanting to play with LeBron. You have to sacrifice a ton; it doesn't seem like fun despite giving you a greater chance at winning.

Despite all that, for as great as he is, he's just like other greats who needed a great sidekick to win. He needed Wade and he needed a Kyrie who outplayed Steph in the 2016 Finals.

His off the court behavior has always had a bit of phoniness and divaness to it but whatever. At least we moved past the days where he was doing an Irish jig on the bench mid-game. Still, stuff like the "playoff activation" stuff makes you cringe.
