Things could change at the last minute but the format tonight is suppose to be an intro and discussion about the whole situation and than LeBron would make his announcement. Jim Gray gets to ask the first couple of questions and than Michael Wilbon and Jon Barry are the only other 2 guys that get to ask any questions. LeBron won't be making his announcement in the final 10 minutes or anything like that.

Earlier at Bodog there was a prop bet asking if LeBron would put on a Crown tonight. It was +1000 for Yes and -2000 for No.

I got my DVR ready because we could be in for a night of **** unintentional comedy.

Ah, thanks for that. I totally misinterpreted the tweet until reading that article. So all it meant was that his taxes are being handled by a Chicago firm. I thought it had something to do with him purchasing new property in Chicago.

That's what I thought at first too. There's still a lot of ways to take that news and the timing is what's odd about it.

I know this is a stretch, but let's say he does stay with the Cavs. Does anyone think that this was the plan that LeBron said from the begining that his team had and would execute?

We've said before, LeBron is no fool and he knows about the history of the game, the past strengths of the league and the power that the NBA used to hold as the top sport in the country. What if all this stuff was he, Wade and Bosh trying to hype up the NBA again and also make the East an actual conference again. I'm not saying they were successful or that they didn't piss people off, but in their minds planning this, they thought it would help the league by taking interest to a level it hasn't seen since Jordan. Give New York people a reason to really pay attention to the NBA again, Jersey, everywhere.

Or on the flip side, what if this latest turn was to take the heat (no pun intended) off of the true decision he made? Maybe he wants to go to New York or Chicago but he's gonna get killed for it for several reasons (we've already had members here myself included think that even though as a Bulls fan, I have to hate the Knicks, I'd rather see him go there than form some lame *** super team for the most underserving sports city in the world). What if he flooded the market with all this stuff just to get the "well at least he didn't go to Miami" out of people (not Cleveland folks but eh)?

Even if Lebron picks Cleveland, why would you make Cleveland fans go through this? To use an over the top analogy, its like giving them cancer and making them go through chemo and at the end saying " See you survived, no big deal right?".

I can't see a one hour show to announce you are staying in Cleveland unless you were filming it in Cleveland. They have done nothing to improve the team, choosing to wait on LeBron.Their downfall started when they passed up the chance to get Amare because they wouldn't part with JJ Hickson at the deadline, instead settling for Antwan Jamison.

If you want the challenge, you go to the Knicks...if he doesn't go, they may stone Donnie Walsh because Amare or no Amare, the whole plan is predicated on 'Bron...anything less is a colossal failure.

The Bulls...the only reason you wouldn't go is if you are terrified of MJ's shadow. Besides, you are changing your number to honor MJ , but then you're going to go to his team? I don't see that

What's he going to do? Go to Miami and hope to God that Mario Chalmers can transform himself into Rajon Rondo. If this is really going to happen I'm a little shocked they didn't go after Chris Duhon, who went to Orlando for not alot of money

Does anyone think that all of this is his marketing company flexing it's muscles? Taxes in Chicago, cabanas in Miami, announcement in Knicks backyard, "sources" saying that he's going to one of those three cities at some point throughout this whole fiasco.

Seems like in the past 48 hours there has been some cryptic sign or suggestion as to where he's playing. All seemingly out of no where.

Agreed; they're going to be totally irrelevant as a sports city again. The Indians and Browns are a joke (no titles since 1948 and 1964 respectively) and now the Cavs will be a mediocre team like they were before LBJ got there.

Agreed; they're going to be totally irrelevant as a sports city again. The Indians and Browns are a joke (no titles since 1948 and 1964 respectively) and now the Cavs will be a mediocre team like they were before LBJ got there.

That might be extreme...without LeBron I can still see them making the playoffs as a 7 or 8.
