The Cowboys of the 90's, 49er's of the 80's, etc. Even the Lakers and Celtics were loaded way more than any other team back when Magic and Bird were setting the league on fire. Nobody is accusing them of undermining the sport. Think back to the Bill Russell Celtics and all of the HOF'ers on that squad, unreal. In team sports you want to assemble the best unit you can to win at all cost.

Why would ESPN want to announce tonight that he's going to the Heat? That would certainly hurt the ratings for the "decision show", right? Why watch if his mind is made up?

Personally I think it's another smokescreen just to keep the hype machine going every single hour leading up to tomorrow night.

Because other people (who probably have the same sources) outside of ESPN already reported it. People are going to watch regardless. It's like the Bachelorette, the whole season was spoiled before the first episode yet millions still tune in each week.

I crack up at the thought these 3 guys planned this all along and just took everybody for a ride.

To me, this is the ultimate slap in the face to not only Cleveland, but the NBA as well.

Summed up my feelings on the situation perfectly.

I really get the impression that it's all about money, particularly for LeBron. Which is sad considering he's probably already the richest man in the Association.

It does not bother me in the least, when Pau was traded to the Lakers everyone was up in arms, but as a Laker fan I loved it.

So who am I to hate on Miami now? Good on them if they can get all three of those guys.

How is it sad if he is trying to maximize his brief career and make all he can now? I really don't understand the anger. I get why Cleveland fans are worried, but anger, I don't get it. 2 back to back 60+ win seasons, 2 back to back MVPs. Its obvious he did everything he could.

We're talking about sports with different structures financially and the way teams are balanced.

Gasol deal was a trade. Another completely different scenario.

Yeah, If this does pop off...Heat fans are going to be coming out the woodwork..You ask them how long they been a Heat fan, they go say since Tim hardaway or something like that. So legit Heat fans get ready for that and Cavs/Lebron fans jumping on y'all bandwagon

Anybody can say what someone wants them to say for the right price. This whole thing just seems a little too ridiculous to be true.

For all I know, the Heat thing may be 100% correct but if I was placing bets, my money would be on someone else.

Because in sports especially the NBA, rivalries are what make it so great to watch. Watching the best of the best compete against each other to see who is better is great to watch. But when two of the three best players in the league to decide to play with each other and create a super team it 1. destroys rivalries and 2. destroys competition/the fun of watching. I feel like I am leaving something out, so if I remember it I will add it to my points above.

The Heat have just become the biggest "Heel" team in the history of the NBA. Let's skip the regular season and the majority of the playoffs so we can go straight to the Lakers/Heat Final.

Umm no... Its silly to shoe the Heat in the finals right now all of a sudden because they 'supposed' have these three guys. Two of which have had injury problems in the past, and their roster is downright depleted and gutted right now, and it appears there going to be even more gutted seeing as how as currently configured, they can't sign LeBron unless they move one of their two other contracts that is on the teams book, or LeBron, and the other two parties involved take a substantial paycut to allow leverage, and moving room for the Heat's front office.

now if the three of them could play all 48 minutes during a game then I'd say your line of thinking right now is feasible, but that isn't the case, and role players, and a team's bench plays a vital role in winning a championship (depth is the word I'm looking for). The Heat seriously have to be careful as to who they give their MLE to because the rest of the roster will be filled with minimum contract players more than likely. I will say if that team doesn't win a championship first year, which is plausible given the possible make up, then this experiment will be an **** fail.
