Yea...there is no King James. Prince James maybe. Mercenary James perhaps.

But to be a King...you have to have built a kingdom...Lebron has not.

When did anyone claim that he won anything? If he had won championships in Cleveland as the main cog with his likely resume of statistics, then he would been right there with Jordan, Abdul-Jabbar and Russell. You're a Jordan fan so I understand that no one can "surpass" Jordan, but eventually someone will. And prior to these current events, LeBron was headed down that likely path. No longer, IMO.

...I will be rooting for the Lakers over the Heat in any such match-up. Not because I hate what they did - they had the money, they had the ability, so they went out and got the three best players they could, can't hate them for that - but because LeBron and Bosh have made me hate them this summer. I knew nothing about Bosh before this summer, but his antics have made me strongly dislike him and LeBron...well, I hated him when he was with the Cavs and after this entire summer, he's become my most hated athlete (above even Jeter and A-Rod for the time being).

I was simply stating there is a difference between someone saying, "The Knicks can field a good squad next year without LBJ because of x,y, and z", which point I remember being made, and someone saying, "I don't want Lebron James under any circumstances." Born didn't say it. It's cool. The grand scheme of things has nothing to do with it. Now I'm confused...
I didn't mean for anything to sound snooty. You were asking, so I answered. Me and at least 3 other Knick fans said flat out that we didn't want Lebron in NY. Now I added to that that I want New York to be a good team again, so I'd suck it up and root for them no matter what.

It's less personal and seems more like "business" if everything was done on the down low. Instead this was clearly collusion by 3 buddies to "rule the world". That alone is enough to stoke people's fire. Add the TV announcement and that's tantamount to throwing 10 gallons of gasoline on a flame.
