If he announces it over Twitter, tells someone in the media who reports or goes on Sportscenter like Bosh and Wade, he'd be leaving and ripping Cleveland's heart. They've already made it clear that if he isn't finishing his career with the Cavs they will be heartbroken, especially with him leaving without having gotten them a championship. This is part of why I don't get why everyone talks about him not wanting to play in Jordan's shadow, I'd rather play with that pressure than the weight of an entire state putting ALL they're sports hopes on his shoulders every year he plays or the pressure of the New York media if he doesn't bring the Knicks a title in X amount of years.

A-Rod has been ripped to shreds for pretty much his entire time in New York because the Yankees were starving for a championship after 10 looooooooooong, agonizing, excruciating years of not winning one and LeBron has the task of bringing a title to New York after not having won one since the '70s? This stuff is crazy.
In all fairness, I don't think Knicks fans will be quite as harsh as Yankees fans as far as expectations. And now that A-Rod has won, he is finally at peace, and it's even masked the steroid issue.

And I don't doubt that, but the media will crush this guy every single night. It will definitely be a glare worse than any Jordan spotlight would cast. I don't think LeBron could take that kind of beating mentally night in and night out if he isn't winning right away.

Do the Knicks keep or ship Lee if they get LeBron?

If you can't see how Bron playing with the Cavs or Bulls has a better chance of winning right now over any of those teams ESPECIALLY the Clippers then there's no point in even having a basketball related conversation with you.

You're definitely right. He will be destroyed nightly. But, and this is a big but I mean we're talking Kim Kardashian here, if he can persevere and make it through, and somehow can win a championship here, he will be immortalized, and pretty much get what he's looking for. It'll definitely be tough until that day though, with that I agree.

EDIT: And also, I don't think the Jordan shadow thing is a current problem. It's more of a career legacy thing. His worry, and this is only what I think based on what I have heard, is that when he retires, if he wins 3 chips, he'll only be viewed as half as good as Jordan was. It may not be true, it may be true, but that is what I believe he thinks.

To get Lebron they have to renounce Lee. Can't keep him or trade him.

If LeBron wins ONE championship in NY....I don't buy into the "he will be immortalized" thing. This guy is the self proclaimed KING, even after how many years in the league now with no rings? I think if he goes a couple more seasons without a ring people will finally stop looking at him like a God and basically say "you are what you are"

The Cavs don't have a better chance at winning with LeBron than MIA or the NYK.

If Lebron wants a ring he needs to just piggyback and go to Miami with Wade and Bosh.

Cleveland vs New York is mainly a baseball rivalry that spilled over to real life. It's big brother, little brother syndrome.

Cavs fans need to fall back to reality......go back to sleep for another 35 years and STFU. Your Cavs jersey will be sold at Walmart come November on roll back for $9.

Mmmmm...I'd have to see the teams built up fully. Miami is not getting LeBron, whoever started that rumor is a moron and simply ignores these dudes egos.

As for the Knicks...go back about 50 pages to see my feelings on them vs the Cavaliers.

Only cause Cleveland is like New Orleans, if Drew Brees retired right now, he'd be set for life in NO.

But that's the thing, with the Knicks that definitely wouldn't be a failure. We haven't won a chip in almost 40 years, and we haven't been decent in 10. It would be a miracle if LeBron won us a chip. But I see what you're saying. The city may sing a different tune after we get power hungry. After you win one, you always want another. Especially in New York. I guess we'll have to see.

                                Two words: RECENT HISTORY

Maybe because Cleveland and Chicago have been in the playoffs the last couple of years and the Knicks and Clippers have been the joke of the NBA for quite sometime? And even though I don't want to lump Miami in with the Knicks and the Clippers BUT you have to take into consideration that they were the worst team in the NBA two years ago.
