If Bron signs the Cavs will be about 5 mill over the cap if we waive Delonte and renounce Shaq, Z, Wally and Lorenzen Wright's holds. We'll only have the midlevel and bi-annual, plus about 7-8 mill in expiring deals. We'll have the 61-win Cavalier team, with a better coach (hopefully) and an upgrade at center (S+T for Haywood possibly). Eyenga may also be ready for the team. Not as bad as folks make it out to be, but still no fellow superstars.

If he does leave, (and we still waive renounce the above mentioned) that leaves the Cavs about 12 mill under the cap, plus the MLE and BIA which would leave us with a nice 19 or so of cap. Unfortunately, no one wants to play in CLE, so that capspace is largely moot, lol. If this were LA, we could probably get 2-3 great players with that.

I really hope the Cavs don't make the mistake of panicking if Bron leaves, and try to hold it together like they did post-Price/Dougherty/Nance years where Terrel Brandon and a bunch of mediocre players were the 7-8 seed every year for half a decade. They will have tons of room for a lopsided trade for a contract, and I can just see the Cavs doing something stupid like taking a flyer on something pathetic like Gilbert and Yi.

So are you saying it is in the best interest of clvnd if Lebron leaves?

ESPNews saying LeBron is flying to Miami to meet with Riles.

Not sure how credible this is. I found it on RGM.

I like that ESPN never reported that Carter was in NYC today and that LeBron was seen out with Amare and Houston - but they're quick to report he's flying to Miami. If LBJ does actually announce he's going to the Knicks tomorrow night, I expect BSPN to utilize the 6-second live-feed delay and cut to black and claim technical difficulty.

It is way too clear that the big wigs at ESPN h-a-t-e James Dolan for his antics, though I'm sure that it's deserved on Dolan's part.

Of all people though, why would the Knicks tell Dudley?

And if I was LBJ, I'd be a little ticked at Dudley right now.

It's very odd, seems like something you just don't do IMO. Being in the NBA is a fraternity - seems like you're breaking a code by blabbering like this. But then again, LBJ I'm sure has more than a few enemies in the league so some many not have any issue pissing him off purposely.

As for why Dudley, I have no clue. He's from Cali even though he went to BC so I don't see any local connection he'd have with the Knicks. I don't know if he has a relationship with any one else there - it does seem odd that Dudley just knows some dude in the Knicks front office well enough to get that sort of info. It seems pretty far-fetched.

The way this summer has gone I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Dudley posts a "you've been punked NY!" tweet at 9:11pm tomorrow.

Then he ****s on New Jersey saying they are like the Clippers? The does that mean the Knicks are the Lakers? Not.

THEN he says he if he comes to Chicago, he needs to win 6 championships....who told him that? They need to cool out with the 'Shadow of Michael Jordan' crap as an excuse why he's not coming to Chicago. PLEASE! Come better than that!

I'm sorry but I don't buy this Dudley crap. I'm not saying he is staying in CLE, but come on. What NYK exec is gonna tell Jarrod Dudley anything, let alone let the biggest cat in history out of the bag.

Honestly I'm cautious about all of this, but I seriously just can't take Dudley fully serious about this. How the hell does something like this happen? Some old fart in the Knicks front office is sitting on the phone with Dudley and getting calls from all these actual reporters and other players and Dudley's like...."So I'm reporting for TMZ man, Bron coming there?" and the guys responds "TMZ? Really, well Jared. I guess I can tell you, we've already talked to LeBron and he's agreed to come here. In fact we've already got the order in for LeBron James number 6 jerseys."

That just seems like the most ridiculous thing ever cause....when the hell did Jared Dudley get hot in the streets? Dude's been in the league for like two years and he's worked the stroke to break the biggest story in the last 10-15 years in the NBA? It just seems so completely ridiculous.

Ochocinco is on Twitter doing the same thing. I could see how maybe Amare knows something but even if he did, why tell Dudley? I'm sure Amare is smart enough that if a decision was made, keeping it on the low as possible is very important.

And you're right, BSPN is a joke with this non-stop LBJ to Miami talk. They probably already have a million photoshop pictures ready for tomorrow.

I have no idea what's going to happen. However, I'd like to see him go to the New Jersey only because I can't recall a single Nets fan at OS. Seeing an influx of Nets avatars would be very, very interesting. IMO.

I really don't find it tough to believe that Dudley has good info from the Knicks organization. "Front office" could be a lie from Dudley to protect who he heard from...but there are a TON of people who work for these teams would could be informed. Not tough to believe someone would get excited and tell Dudley. Hell, these teams have like 20 interns

Anyway, if LeBron was seen with Amare today that seems pretty huge to me.

Plus the location of the decision is a hint to me also, at least a negative for CLE. He obviously wouldn't announce in CLE that he was going somewhere else. And from his past it seems if he was going to stay in CLE he would have it at Quiken Loan Arena or something.

UNLESS...this is all smoke and mirrors from LBJ on purpose... which would mean he's truly the most pathetic egotistical person on earth to play these games.... then he could obviously go anywhere and not shock me
