Cleveland hasn't had a rivalrly with New York since Craigh Ehlo and Patrick Ewing days. Because before Lebron, that was the last time the Cavs were relevant in the NBA.

Cavs fans need to fall back to reality......go back to sleep for another 35 years and STFU. Your Cavs jersey will be sold at Walmart come November on roll back for $9.

No reason to be. When Lebron announces he's staying at CLE or leaving for CHI or MIA, Walsh will go right into plan B. If the reports are true, and that plan kicks off with trading Lee for Azibuike and Baby Yesh, that makes me quite happy. Great way to start. In D'Antoni's system, Randolph can really flourish. It's almost better for him to be on a team with some time and flexibility. And Buike can really shoot, and start for us at the 2 guard. After that, a trade or signing of Ridnour or Parker will have us set up for next year nicely.

Trust me I am very comfortable with Plan B....

I still REALLY want Plan A though.

I've been meaning to ask you this born. If, and this is a big if cause I still think he reups with Cleveland, LeBron actually does pick the Knicks, will you be happy or upset? I can't tell if you're hoping we don't get LeBron, or just trying not to get your hopes up.

First and foremost, I want the Knicks to be contenders. I don't care if Charles Smith comes out of retirement and leads us to the Finals. If that's what it takes, fine. I'd prefer Charles Smith be banned from the city forever, but winning is more important than grudges.

Lebron isn't my favorite player in the league, to be candid. I think he's too self entitled, and I'd rather not see my city feeding into that. Sure, there are plenty of arrogant athletes, but I think we can all agree that this guy is like the Jedi Master of Athletic Arrogance. People think that because he's a good passer, he's unselfish. ::Charlie Murphy voice:: Wrong! Wrong!

He's very self absorbed, and I don't think it all ties back into winning. I think he wants to win. I even think he wants to win badly, but I think the game came too easily for him to really understand the sacrifices necessary to beat other grown men that are near his talent level and win a championship. It's always a tragedy in sports when young men's talent is so incredible that they win before they learn. At this point in his career, 7 years, no rings and still trying to pull the title of bestest most importantest player from a stubborn, dusty Kobe Bryant, the seeds of learning have been planted, and that makes it a little better.

That having been said, he's not the worst person in the world. He didn't scoff at a fellow player's injury, run screaming from Jared Jeffries during a fight, or sleep with his teammate's mother. He does care about kids and charities and enjoying the game with his teammates. I even like his ambition. I like that this athletically gifted poor kid from a small city has set out to conquer Earth. I honestly think that's cool.

Makes sense. One thing I have to question, however, is how selfish is he really? People were saying for years that Kobe was selfish, but now suddenly all is forgiven. There have been stories for years that MJ is arrogant, but noone talks about it. I think his selfish image will be shed as soon as he wins a ring because that's just what he needs to do for respect. It seems like when you're arrogant and losing, then it's a distraction. But when you're arrogant and winning, you have a killer instinct, and when you talk about your teammates then it's because you want to get better. I don't know. I guess I just believe that winning cures everything. And I hope that is the case with LeBron as well, whether it's in NY, or Cleveland, or with the Clippers for that matter. I would love for him to be a Knick, but I don't want him to be a Knick that doesn't win. I'd rather him win elsewhere, than lose here. If that makes sense.
