Are we just putting "Le" in front of every derogatory term to describe Lebron now a days?

      Re: The LeBron James Thread

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced of this.

Lebron is a phenomenal talent. Amazing, raw, abilities. Great passer, great speed, great strength, great bla bla bla. He's a great NBA player, I think we can all agree to that.

And I think long term, the first LeCheckout against the C's could have been overlooked once things all were writte for his career.

But I think Game 4 will have a permanent impact on his "legacy", and that C's game will solidify it.

Great player, don't think his legacy will make him top 10, probably not even top 20 when it's all said and done.

He'll get a post game eventually they all do. People just want now now now. It sucks..but that's life
I still don't take the blame completely off of him. When Dirk was drafted, Nelly said he was going to be the best Euro player ever and a lock for the Hall. If Dirk had played on that throughout his career he'd be taking a ton of heat. That still doesn't compare to Lebron but the point is, the arrogance and lack of humility fuels the fire. If you say you're great and act like you're great, you better be great... all the time. Or you better not care about people criticizing you.

They were just interviewing him after their shootaround, and I swear dude was tearing up when they were asking him about all the webpages questioning him, and if it effects him. He didn't really have much of a response other than I'm reading it,and he looked down at the ground kinda defeated.

I think your post sums it up perfection wwharton. If you are self proclaimed greatness, and you take your talents somewhere... use them, every game, or else this is to be expected.

I have not been a fan of LeBron and how he has handled himself. He has brought a lot of this on himself. That said, I am starting to feel sorry for him with everything being said/written about him. Let's just let the guy play basketball and enjoy the games without analyzing every chestbump/staredown.

I just saw the Chestbump and high five article about who gives the most on each team lol! I can't even believe someone watched all that game tape to keep stats on that stuff.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. We're fans of the sport first and foremost, sometimes that gets lost in the drama involved with such a superstar driven league. But Lebron is, and has been, great for the sport of basketball on the court. Guy is a freakshow. Yeah, he should have conducted himself better for the last 365 days, but at the end of the day we should be able to step back and look at what he's done on the court. Hell of a year (errr besides game 4's triple single).

This whole Lebron lacks humility reminds me of that one episode of the Simpsons when they were heckling Darryl Strawberry.

LMAO...Bron probably hurts deep down inside due to the critizism.

Who is really worried that LeBron will choke tonight? If they lose the finals would you blame it on LeBron? Or another reason?

I don't think Lebron will choke. I don't even think Lebron "choked" in game 4 - he didn't even show up to play a game of basketball.

If they lose, I think Lebron will take the brunt of the blame. I think Wade will come out pristine because there's no denying he's trying to will his way through Dallas like he did in 06, to a great deal of success. Unless Wade drops these next three games, he's going to come out a saint.

If the Mavs get the title, I think the narrative will be

                              - Lebron didn't show up with a killer mentality. All of this Pippen talk will get louder.

                              - Wade played his heart out, but to say he needs "more help" would be ridiculous

                              - Bosh played a solid series, as solid as you'd ever expect out of the "third best" player on a team.

                              - Dirk. Guy hit so many crucial shots through the playoff run, it was his time and it is well deserved.

                              - Dallas defense. Yeah, they aren't what's "stopping" Lebron, but they've definitely not made it easy on him.

                              - The team that was blowing by teams with their hot shooting grinded the tough games out, and continued the ridiculous 4th quarter come backs
