I saw that on ESPN yesterday (July 8). "One year ago today, The Decision was made"...)

I'm over it now, esp. after Dallas won it all.

No one in their right minds would agree with you. The man takes us to the NBA Finals as he carried us, not Dwyane Wade, against the Chicago Bulls, and because he was fatigued, stopped putting up numbers that were off the charts even for him, and admittedly not mentally prepared enough for one game, you want to have him traded away? You should be ashamed to say this and call yourself a true Heat fan. The Miami Heat organization bleeds loyalty and would never go back on their word on winning multiple championships with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh together. That's the greatest thing about the Heat, is they're loyal to the bone and would never turn their back on someone. Sure, maybe sometimes they have to get rid of a player, but never a player they have told is part of their core going forward, and our core is Wade, Bosh, Anthony, Haslem, Miller, Chalmers, and LeBron James. LeBron was huge for us this season and he hit clutch shot after clutch shot to get us to where we got. Now it's a matter of taking that next step and winning it all next year.

Not a Heat fan, but if Orlando calls and offers Dwight, you make the deal yesterday.

We'll see how loyal the Heat are if they fail to win the title again next year. My guess is Bosh will be scapegoat traded.

LeBron made clutch shot after clutch shot this season? News to me. He made a couple clutch/lucky contested 3's (that he normally misses 80% of the time) against Boston and Chicago. Didn't seem too clutch against Dallas...

So when other players like Pierce and Kobe make contested three's, they're clutch, but if LeBron makes it, it's lucky? Also, Kobe didn't seem too clutch against Dallas either, don't be hypocritical.

No way Bosh gets traded. While that has been rumored, Riley, Coach Spo, and Arison have all said that trading any of the Big Three would be ludicrous.

All I was saying is, LeBron was huge for us this season and brought us back into title contention for years to come and Heat fans should thank him for the ability to get out of the first round for the first time in years, not want to trade him for getting us within 2 wins of a championship, when we were 15 wins away last year.

LeBron did make a lot of clutch baskets for us this year if you watched every game like I did, he just didn't make any buzzer-beaters, and that is not the only clutch play. He blocked shots, got steals, dunks in transition, and put in difficult shots all year in the last 5 minutes of close games.

He's a great, great player, one of the best of all-time, and we should be grateful for having the 2 best all-around players in the game today, which is no offense to Kobe by the way, he's obviously a top-10 player of all-time, but at this point in their careers Wade is better.

It's pretty ridiculous how hypocritical people can be, if Kobe takes and hits the shot it's clutch, but LeBron takes and make it and it's lucky? Seriously? I mean you don't have to like the guy to know it's the biggest load of bull you can possibly spew. Quit with the double standards, sure you might not like LeBron but to take away from something that's so OBVIOUS it isn't even funny.

I'm not agreeing with the idea that all of those shots are luck, but there is logic to the statement since people want to compare to Kobe.

Pretty much everyone knows Kobe hits jumpers frequently over double and triple teams from everywhere on the court. Nowadays he takes and makes more of these difficult jumpers than he drives to the hoop, therefore it is much less surprising to see Kobe take and make these shots in question. In the same sense, if Kobe drove hard to the basket and got nailed hard while going up, still finishing the shot, I'd consider that more lucky than if Lebron did it... bc that's what Lebron does day in and day out.

He hit some clutch shots in games 4 & 5 of the Celtics series and in the Bulls series. The biggest shots was the 3 to tie the game after Ray Allen put Boston up by 3. And in the same series in game 5. To take the lead from Boston after a Wade bailout pass (with a 3 pointer)..

So you're telling me Lebron James is a skilled mid range/long range kind of guy? I'll give you that he's improved his mid range game, in particular this year. But the long ball isn't a part of his arsenal that can be relied on. That's something so OBVIOUS to me. When histories perception is just that, I think it's pretty fair to aggregate a bit of luck into the equation.

You don't think Tim Duncan's 3 ball in game 1 against the Suns had some luck to it either, I suppose? Lebron is skilled, but the biggest cop-out for Team Lebron is the whole "You don't have to like the guy BUT..." line. This isn't about liking the guy. This is about basketball.

As a Heat fan I rather have Dwight then LeBron easily. You give me Dwight in the middle an Bosh more touches on O an the front court is nasty. Then you got Wade doing his thing an a cheap shooter at the pg an sf spots an your good to go. I just don't think Wade an Lebron can play up to the max potential by being on the same team. They both are better with the ball in their hands an when its not they stand their an watch each other dribble. Bosh would go back to being one of the best PFs in the game if he got more touches which won't happen with boroth Wade an LeBron on his team.

Luck is hard to pin down.

Good fortune; advantage or success, considered as the result of chance

Technically every shot taken could be considered lucky/unlucky because when it comes to a shot going in or out, there's a roll of dice, is there not? X player, statistically, has a 47% chance of hitting that mid range jumper. There's still a 53% chance that shot hits iron and bounces out. A 6% swing either way on the luck pendulum.

Perspective B. X player's skill allows 47% of his shots to sink. The other 53% he misses because he doesn't have the skill to cover any higher %.

And yes, I sure do wish Kobe would hit more shots in the finals. Whether it was Game 7 when he laid out the blueprint for Dirks game 6, or against the series with the Pistons. Ugh.

I hate how facetious you guys can be. The underlying point here is the fact that LeBron hits the shot and they're called purely luck. Kobe hits the shot and they're called clutch shots. The point is it's a double standard if LeBron does it everyone goes "Oh he got lucky" Kobe does it "Man he's so clutch" because in both situations regardless they're as much luck as they are clutch. Obviously I'd say the Tim Duncan shot was more luck than clutch.

I also like how you label me as a "Team LeBron" member when that's the farthest thing from the truth, but apparently if I don't hate the guy or think he's a complete scumbag I'm a "Team LeBron" guy right? Seriously? That's got to be some of the most assinibe thinking. All it boils down to is everyone depcriates what LeBron does far too much out of a compound of personal bias and a myriad of other factors. Obviously their are people who are on the reverse off the aforementioned spectrum and worship everything he does but I don't fit in either classification. If this is about basketball as you claim I'd appreciate you not placing me into a group because of some belief that "Oh he doesn't hate LeBron he must be a homer".
