    Re: The LeBron James Thread

    I'd be shocked if he doesn't go to the Lakers.

    After this past year, all the regular season struggles, the lack of help in the playoffs, and just how miserable that team seemed all year...its hard to see him going back. It's not going to get better.

      Lebron at the 4, PG at the 3 this year, ship out lonzo, put ingram at the 2 or 1, and bring in kawhi to play the 2 next year. good thing my team isnt in the west

        Here is the thing. I don't think LeBron can play the 4 for long periods of time. During a playoff push, yes. But a 82 games. I don't think so. That's why Shane Battier was so huge during that 2-3 year run in Miami. You need a big man. At least someone who can stretch the floor or a tough dive man.

        I say keep Ball instead of Ingram. You need a passer with a group like this.

          Idk man, LeBron pretty much played power forward this season with the injuries to Love and Thompson. Even on that Miami team he was the power forward on the offensive end, while Battier banged with the 4’s on defense. The league is even smaller now that it was then, and even the bigger bodied guys still play more outside, more stretch 4 guys. LeBron was guarding the other teams 4 men in the playoffs as well. Morris, Ibaka, Green. He’s not going to bang around all game long with a guy like Aldridge, but the majority of the time that matchup will benefit him more than chasing around quicker 3’s that make him work on that end. So I actually think that’s the matchup he wants.

          Besides everyone switches about 1-4 now so I don’t think it matters as much in that regard either. LeBron pretty much stayed at the back of the Cavs defense this year and called out assignments, they just switched off to whoever came to his side so his chasing players was minimal and he could let all the young/new pieces know where they needed to be.

          I think he would be more aggressive in help on a team where he wasn’t in the situation he was in this year. He couldn’t risk committing fouls this season because they literally couldn’t function without him. It was a tough spot to be in and why a lot of those “he didn’t even try to help” plays were a bit out of context. If someone got beat bad enough that it was likely he would be late, he just never risked the foul. They pretty much had to play that way. I think that’s why we saw so much of LeBron looking exasperated at his teammates on plays that could have easily been blamed on his lack of help. Those plays were they gambled for the steal, or didn’t pick up the roll man on screens.. LeBron looking at them like “bruh you know I can’t waste a foul here”..

              Dont forget kuz is still going to be on the roster with just PG/lebron and no kawhi trade. Lebron wont have to play more than 20 minutes at the 4 unlike he did in cleveland. I honestly think he is best as a 4 now though. He's lost a step even though the media wont mention it so hes no longer blowing by 3's.

                A crazy thing I heard on TV surrounding this.

                One rumor out there is that Lebron might do another "decision" like the first time, except this time around he'll announce(or at least drop hints about) his future through a Space Jam 2 video.

                I was joking before, but I said Lebron to Philly and Kevin Hart joins him in Space Jam 2 with Kevin being to Lebron what Bill Murray was to Jordan in Space Jam 1. Who knows, throw Will Smith in there too with him being the Stan character lol.

                  Yeah, Ball as a lower usage, Tier one ball mover is a much better fit for that group, but I'd rather keep Ingram too with him and George playing the 2/3 on defense depending on the match-ups.

                  I agree with OJ that Bron is a really a basically a defensive 4 now, both because of the change in the league and the mileage on his body.

                      Didn’t we hear that last time he was a FA and he waited til like July 11th?

                      At this point, who cares when he signs.

                            I get releasing it on his Uninterrupted site. But all that other stuff is too much, IMO.

                              Someone said that was in reference to lebron makin the "decision" on what space jam team he plays for.

                                Goes to L.A. Lakers = 40%
                                Houston = 7%
                                Philly = 1.5%
