Who Will Be The Best POINT GUARD In The Next 5-10 Years?

There's a thread going strong about "who will be the best player in the next 5-10 years."

I was thinking today (because of the draft) about a more specific question.

There is a huge surplus of great point guards in the league right now.

You've got the guys that have been in the league for a while:
    Jason Kidd
    Steve Nash
    Chauncey Billups
    Tony Parker
    Mo Williams
    Andre Miller
    Raymond Felton
    Deron Williams
    Chris Paul
    Baron Davis
    Jameer Nelson
    Monta Ellis
    Mike Bibby
    Chris Duhon

and you've got an enormous amount of talented young guys that broke in recently:
    Tyreke Evans,
    Brandon Jennings
    Stephen Curry
    Rajon Rondo
    Russell Westbrook
    Ty Lawson
    Derrick Rose
    Darren Collison
    Goran Dragic
    George Hill
    Tony Douglas

and that's not even mentioning the guys that will be drafted this year (and in the next couple of years):
    John Wall
    Avery Bradley
    Brandon Knight
    Sherron Collins
    Ricky Rubio
    Scottie Reynolds
    Malcolm Delaney
Devan Downey (had to throw him in here since I'm from SC)
(I'm sure I'm leaving others off)

So who do you guys think will be the best point guard in the league in the next 5 or 10 years?

Personally, I think Deron Williams will hold that distinction for the next 5 or 6 years, but I think in the years after that, we will be seeing just how great a point guard and player Stephen Curry is going to be. He reminds me of Rajon Rondo with a far superior shot (really the only comparison I could draw, aside from the Nash comparison everyone makes)

and I wouldn't sleep on Ty Lawson, because this past year when Billups was out, Lawson started 5 or 6 games and averaged around 23 points and 7 assists per game. So, I think if he stays in that Denver system, he could really flourish.

EDIT: The guy that just responded made me remember another one - Aaron Brooks

EDIT 2: Throw Jrue Holiday and Devin Harris on here, too. I knew I was leaving people off. Sorry.

Rondo, Rose or maybe John Wall.

I think Rondo embodies everything you want from a PG sans shooting/FT shooting. He brings a lot of intangibles, has a great floor presence, highly athletic, great hands, good passer, good on-ball defender and can defend in space. If he develops a consistent jumper he'd be that much more deadly.

I think George Hill is another intriguing candidate. He was absolutely electric in that Dallas series. Tailed off though in the PHX one. I love his scoring ability, but don't know how good of a creator he can be. His defense is above-avg, but nothing to write home about. But hey...he's still developing...the offense is there though. Hard to believe he's only a rookie.

Rose/Evans. I think these two are the leading candidates here though. Question about Evans though is he a 1 or a 2? I think he's more of a 2 w/ very good PG skills. I think both need to work on the long-range jumper, but both will probably be the class of the league for years to come.

Russ Westbrook is my sleeper. He came in looking like a 2 guard, but has really improved his PG skills since being given that role exclusively. I think he's got a very high cieling and can become something great. He doesn't have the fatal flaw of Rondo's FT shooting woes, and although he still needs to improve his jumper as well... he's a better offensive guard than Rondo IMO and very good defender/passer.

That's why I didn't list Evans. I doubt he remains a point guard for the next decade.

Yea Holiday is an X-Factor. Up until tonight he's still the youngest player in the NBA, and has shown what he can do over the 2nd half. He has a very high cieling as well. Can't leave him out of this conversation. That's a glaring omission.

Rose then Williams. If Rondo can routinely start to hit jumpers, then he is pretty easily first in my opinion.

My apologies. Throw him in there. But that shows just how deep the point guard position is in the league these days.

I felt like I was leaving someone big off while I was typing the list, and that's who it was. Again, my apologies. Throw him in he debate, as well. (also J.J. Barea if you want)

Obviously Chris Paul if he stays healthy would be the choice for 5 years, but 10 years , i cant make my mind up on that one
