Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
This.
Well, and Jermaine O'Neal's last deal...
But I still think Jerome James takes the cake. One decent post-season and NOTHING for the team that opted to pay him that much. Comically bad contract any way you look at it. There's Brian Cardinal too... man, this off-season will probably add one or two to the list...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
The Eddy Curry contract has been pretty heinous. 60 mill with a 11 mill player option for next year
Gilbert Arenas: 5 years 83 million LEFT.
Jerome James; 5 years, 30 million
Larry Johnson, 84 Million
Jared Jefferies, 5 yrs 30 million, with a player option for years 4 and 5
Matt Caroll: 6 years, 27 million
Allan Houston, 6 years 120 million
Howard Eisley 7 years 41 million
Michael Redd 6 years, 91 million with a 18 mill player option for 2011Last edited by sportyguyfl31; 07-01-2010, 02:33 PM.Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
Jermaine O'Neal's contract wasn't that bad, he just got hurt. His first four years in Indiana he didn't play fewer than 72 games and was All NBA three times. The next year was the brawl year where he was suspended but still productive. The contract only went until age 31, so it was pretty good at the time.
I think Kirilenko is definitely a candidate. He had no where near as good as his paycheck and personally I think an average player with a huge contract is far worse than a scrub getting a few million.
Though in terms of awful production for money, Adam Morrison has to be a contender.
Dude was paid more than 14,000 dollars per point and 47,011 dollars per point after his first year.Last edited by Cebby; 07-01-2010, 02:26 PM.Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
A quick google search and the contracts mentioned here don't even come close.
Besides the Rashard Lewis one. He really didn't show much, much like Rudy Gay to deserve a max deal.Comment
