    Re: What about Allen Iverson?

I think AI's play style is a bit hard to fit into the modern NBA. It seems like you have to fit a certain play style now, you can't dominate the ball unless you are in a system like GS (Monta Ellis who has the quicks to do so), and his outside shot isn't good enough to play the 2. He would have to play PG somewhere OR like has been said, shed the weight and then possibly have enough quickness left to play that position.

If he increased his range he would be able to fit in as a backup PG even.

The very last time AI was the best in 76ers. After he change become weaker and weaker. Maybe his fate will popular and play great in 76ers but not for other team.

        Re: What about Allen Iverson?

        I want him to retire.

I love AI. One of my all time favorties, who's greatness is really underrated IMO.

I dont want to see him a shell of himself.

If he's not playing for a contender then he should retire.

Any 34 year old is a shell of his former self but he still produced like a "regular" NBA player last year.

He should be a 6 man for a title bound team...He has no place being on a young or poor team no matter if he's starting there or not he has no place being on a roster like that...Contender or retire

Regardless w/ Coach Brown being there I think CHA would be a horrible fit. S-Jax and AI...nah not a good situation.

Coming from the bench, get Rondo some rest and play D.
What about Nate Rob? They'd be really undersized if they had both of those guys on the roster seeing minutes.

I don't care how he gets his ring. I just want him to get one, and playing w/ a team like LA I think would allow us to see Iverson as a better all-around player...if he's willing to make the sacrifices to do so.

I don't think anyone is going to flame you because most of us probably feel the same way, but are holding out hope he isn't just blowing smoke.

Agree w/ everything you said, and the bolded couldn't be more true. Especially if your game depends solely on your athleticism like AIs does.

We heard this same **** last year when he signed with the Grizz. He'll never change.

              Go away AI.

Personally AI was my favorite player I grew up watching him in nearly every single game with the 76ers. But honestly we heard the same thing last year and with the Pistons when he also said he was willing to come off the bench and contradicted himself again. AI is still the same AI and he is still going to want a starting job.@ elicoleman its shown youre from Memphis so I know you have issues with him lol.

Sorry JBH3. I do care how he gets one now. I don't want him jumping on an LAL Bandwagon chasing a ring. They don't really need him and he would get no credit for their success imo...
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Its easy to "contradict" yourself(I dont even recall him accepting a bench role)
when you are coming off the bench for Detroit or Memphis..Like I said in my other post he had no business being on those teams...

If he came off the bench in Clev, Bos, Den etc and moaned about a starting role or minutes then yeah...He's the "same ole AI"

They need a PG, someone to facilitate the offense...it's unaccustomed to AIs game, but I think he could transition to that role if he really wanted to.

Thing is, I completely got behind him, especially when he called his press conference and acted like he was willing to be a 6th man and be the mentor for the younger guys. I honestly bought everything he said.

The moment things got tough, he got going.

I'm all fine with someone coming out and saying they won't come off the bench, just don't act like you're okay with it and then when it happens, you walk away from it. I have no use for things like that.

Frankly, the Griz were a better team without him anyways.

Funny how people no longer get offended when they see Iverson and 6th man in the same sentence whereas if you would've said that less than a year ago, some people would have a fit on here lol.
