no, but that wasn't the question. i understand, you're going to play the "you don't know them personally" card, which sort of defeats the purpose of posing the question in the first place.

      save yourself the time.

that's like saying until you play against or with lebron, you can't say that he's a great player.

the problem with that premise is that, by every account ever made, tim duncan, steve nash, dirk nowitzki, kevin durant, pau gasol, emeka okafor and many other athletes are very humble, thankful, kind people.

i understand you're trying to make a point, but in this case, it doesn't work. unless you're willing to make the assertion that everyone lies on their behalf in order to continue this charade of humbleness, you should just admit you're wrong and go back to arguing other points.

LOL pissed cause he's not in a Bulls uni? No, I'm not pissed at all. I was upset cause I did want the guy here, but life goes on, the Bulls go on and we've managed to put together a pretty solid team so far.

I bring that up cause you try to say that it's ridiculous that Bron would be thinking about the hype he'd have to live up to or be taking on wearing 23, but then I keep hearing about how he wouldn't play in Chicago because of the hype he'd have to live up to playing in Jordan's shadow. So he's suddenly aware enough of hype to avoid playing in Jordan's shadow, but not aware enough to keep 23 off his back with all the hype it's gonna put on him?

LBJ been on one of the 4 best team in the NBA for the past 4 years...Have you ever heard of Wade vs Kobe debates? certainly not on the level of LBJ vs Kobe...

Funny thing is, I actually think Wade is a better player...

                its good to be unbiased...

Why does that mean Wade needs LBJ? The Heat team that they're getting together would have been title contenders even if Lebron stayed in Cleveland. They could have used his money for other pieces and still fielded a championship caliber team. Lebron needs Wade and Bosh (apparently) to get his championship since he apparently gave up on getting one on his own.

I didnt say he needs him...

Th comment made is that Wade needs LBJ more than what LBJ needs Wade..both guys can do good by themselves...people is making it seem like Wade is LBJ's Shaq...

Wade and Bosh alone on this Heat team(minus LBJ) would not be a contender(despite of what the media would feed you) Lets be real......LBJ, Bosh and Wade, these 3 together makes them a contender with only 5 players...

Wade and Bosh with a couple of role FA(you pick and choose) would not be a contender...Even Kobe and gasol needed Bynum(who; befor the injuries was a top C here at OS...) and with Artest they barely defeated a celtics team who couldnt shoot...Oh and not to mention Odom, the name someone here at OS actually threw in this thread...

I agree that you need strong players to win a chip. IMO, the media has babyfied Lebron so much that he doesn't include himself for their short comings. Lebron just had back to back MVP seasons along with the Cavs being the league's top seed for 2 years in a row. Here's the problem.....

Regular Season = Media says "Lebron is great, Lebron is King... yada yada yada"

Post Season = Media says "Lebron needs a supporting cast."

Which is it??? You can't have it both ways.

Isn't the Lakers basically Kobe, Gasol, and a bunch of solid role players? Who said Bynum was a top notch C? They definitely could have built around Wade and Bosh to make a championship team. They don't really need Lebron.

Can't really compare a 17/18 year old high school kid to the greatest basketball player ever. I thought the talks were premature but not completely out of line. I think it says a lot that it doesn't seem like he's matured much from then to now.

Not to mention Wade had a ring and didn't leave his team. It's not even about going to Cleveland. Wade and James could've went to a number of teams.

Seriously that's all I'm saying with that point. Generally in high school or at the park or wherever you play basketball that requires numbers, the guys wearing 23 are usually guys who think they have the game to

                              A) Make the NBA

                              B) Be the best player ever

                              C) Are the best player on they're team

Someone wearing it soley to be a tribute or honor to Michael with the game of a Brian Scalabrine is rare enough that I can say that someone rocking 23 is more likely to think they're hot **** and understands the ramifications of that number in the pros if they've got 'being nationally recruited talent.'

I think alot of people are pissed because he didnt come to there team. The funny thing is I didnt even want the Heat to pick him up. However, I'm not bickering about the isht. I've accepted it and welcome him to the Darkside. Let the Man do what he wants. If it's reign with Miami so be it. Wade for MVP. The Kingpin of the NWO.
