So I was watching Sportscenter earlier today and they interviewed the manager from the Kardashian's store in Miami, DASH and they were talking about how 'Heat fans' go in there during halftimes of games usually and now they were all in there and everywhere and so excited and the girl actually said and I'm not even kidding. 'People have been so excited, it's a level I haven't seen since they won the title back in the day.'

Back in the day? 2006 is back in the day now? Unbelievable. Definitely the Heat right now if for no other reason than they're group of bandwagon fans. Still don't like how this is good for the league. It's like in Watchmen, like the worst possible thing you could do is good for the league so that makes it okay?

I've been a fan of DWade since he obliterated Kentucky back in 2003.

It sucks that I'm going to hate the Heat more than the Celtics who I have despised for a while.

You have Bosh acting like the nerd who was rejected for years by the cool kids and LeBron has always been arrogant.

I don't see how you can't say that it's the Heat, The hate for the Celtics, Lakers and 76ers will always be there for me personally but I would love nothing more then to see this team fail. And it's a shame too because I've always liked Wade. It will definitely pain me if I have to "root" for L.A. if it does end up to be a Lakers and Heat final.

Heat, because they have no real fan base (their attendance is horrible), but now they will be the next wave of fans rooting for them and acting like they were fans since the old days

hating teams like the Lakers, Celtics, or whatever is usually a compliment to those teams..because when you're on the losing end you start churning envy into hate. Of course people are going to hate Kobe as he drills the game winner. Confidence is seen as arrogance when you're on the losing end. Of course people are going to hate LA after they win their 5th title in 10 years while so and so team barely sniffs the playoffs for 20 years.

Heat. I've liked Wade and I cheered for Miami when they played Dallas, but now Miami is the New England Patriots of the NBA for me. As a Knicks fan, I'd cheer for Boston to beat them.

I think once Miami Thrice gets going with the season starting up that they are going to gain bandwagon fans all over the country. I still say that proven, established winning franchises are the ones that are the most loved, and the most hated overall. I don't think anyone really says The lakers are okay, or the celtics are okay. It's you love them or hate them because those teams have rivalries with a lot of other teams within their conferences.

So for example Knicks, Orlando, and Philly fans would be like...I hate Boston, and Portland, Phoenix, and Utah fans would be like I hate LA, and of course all true Lakers and Celtics fans all hate the Celtics and Lakers..

Damn, can't believe my comments about how I'd root for LA over Miami in the finals, if it happened, would be one of the signifiers that Miami has taken over.

Truthfully, even though I voted for them, I don't hate Miami. I hate LeBron, I strongly dislike Bosh, therefore I hate Miami more because I think I hate the combo of LeBron/Bosh more than I hate Gasol.

And for the record, it's not so much that I'd be rooting for LA in the finals. I'd just be rooting against LeBron ever winning a ring. As I said in the other thread, I'd rather see Kobe win numbers 6...7...8...9...however many before LeBron wins one. I'm glad Wade already has a ring, because I won't feel bad if he doesn't win another one with James/Bosh.

Regardless bottom line is that if you're rooting for the Lakers in the Finals you aren't a real Celtics fan.

I hate the Lakers and I dislike the Heat due to LeBron and hope he never wins a ring but if it comes down to those two I'll be pulling for Miami (wouldn't like it but I'd never root for the Lakers).
