Then you are telling Melo to lose more then 20 million...Not happening

If that was the case then this whole drama would not happen and Denver would trade him to the Knicks for a player only.

This is about Melo not wanting to lose the money

There is no player in the draft that will be a franchise booster. Weakest draft in a long time

Do you think if a LBJ or Wade was in the draft, that the Nets would deal their first rounder? LOL

Not a franchise guy, but a guy like Sullinger or Irving could be very intriguing as potential secondary players...

And then I have to believe NJ will be close to lottery again the following year where there could be emerging stars...

But who's to say that he's guaranteed to sign with the Knicks in the off-season? Yeah, we keep hearing about how much he wants to play in New York...yada, yada, yada. BUT who's to say that through the course of a season, he might change his mind and decide to either play for a team that's going to pay him the money(Kings and Pacers look like they have the most money to spend) OR play for a team that's got the best shot at winning the title(Bulls, Celtics, Mavs, Lakers)

If the Knicks want him, they better get him now because I feel their chances decrease by the minute if he stays in Denver for the year.

You would pick up solid pieces.... Perry Jones, Kyrie Irivng, and Derrick Williams. Just a few names... You don't know who is the next Wade or LeBron.

edit: Exactly Ex... I don't know what he is talking about... smh..

Do you think Irvin is leaving after breaking ankle after one game his freshamn year. I do not believe so

And the other first round pick is also this year and not next year

You cannot trade your first pick on bakc to back years

That is a huge crap shoot, but there is a better chance that there is no Wade or Bron or a top 10 NBA Star in this coming draft then there is

                I mean really

Bro I don't know the future, but Irving could come back and have a run... I don't know what type of person he is or what he's looking for I was just throwing his name out there.

And so what if it's not back to back? Two potential lottery picks for Gallo and/or Felton? I wouldn't mind doing that.
Sulligner is a beast IMO. Could be like an Al Horford type.

Are you kidding me?.... lol Irving is still in the top 2 picks in most draft boards. I bet he wouldn't have to play the remain ender of the season. And still wouldn't lose his draft status.

I know you are using him as an idea, I am just telling you that this coming draft is not one that many people think is loaded with talent.

So thinking that you are going to land a great player with those picks is just a crap shoot. If the draft had tons of big time players then it would be easy to see their reasoning but if there was big time players then the Nets would never trade those picks

OK and I agree he has potential but he is not a lock to be great or even leave college after playing one game and getting hurt

And if he is a top 2 pick then that means the Nuggets also have to win the lottery to secure him which is another crap shoot

Ask the Nets who had the worst record and ended up with the 3rd pick

Land a great player? Nobody is proclaiming the pick to be a franchise type.

But if you're comparing Gallo and Felton to Sulligner and Perry or Terrance Jones... I mean that's not that big of a gap. That's not really that bad.

Gallo is cool but he is barely a third wheel at best at this point.

The only reason Denver wants those picks is because they are trying to cut payroll and get under the luxury tax and they know that those players they draft will be under rookie contracts and not making much

George Karl has stated that he wants the Knicks package because he feels he can compete with them and not have to depend on a weak draft class and the hope somebody pans out
