I think when he says a class by himself, he's talking about athleticism and ceiling potential which I also believe Lebron is in a class by himself. If he can win now with the team he's on and produce statistics and spectacular feats like he did on the Cavs I see no reason why he couldn't be one of the greatest ever. The NBA has never seen a physical beast like Lebron, speed, size, and power with a jumpshot.

He flat out says he is better then Jordan.
He asks him do you think LeBron is better then Jordan was.
He says yes LeBron is in a class by himself.
With that being said I live in Cincy and Oscar says alot of really stupid things that the whole country never hears.
Heck last year during a game he was screaming at UC's coach during a game, trying to tell him how to coach. Oscar is a very, very bitter old man who is angry at the World for some reason.

I think before it's all said and done LeBron (if he remains healthy) will be the best basketball player surpassing Jordan. Look what he's done at the age of 25. Jordan didnt win his first title til he was 27. If LeBron wins one this year he'll be a year ahead of Jordan as far as titles go.

For the record Oscar never says directly that LeBron is better than Jordan. He even mentioned how silly it is to talk about a player legacy while their still playing.

I disagree with the whole premise. Lebron has the talent and opportunity to reach great heights but comparing their careers so far, Jordan was much more dominant relative to his peers. Lebron's stats and overall performance are not heads and shoulders above the best in the league. Same goes for his athleticism. I've always thought that along with dwight Lebron was the best athlete in the league, but there are other guys as fast as big as strong or with as much hops or agility. What separates Lebron is his power but that's not even close to the separation Jordan enjoyed against his peers. There weren't as many high flyers and those dudes didn't have nearly the speed or agility that Jordan had. And he still jumped higher.

So while Lebron is a new beast, he's in a better overall pool of athletes so his gifts dont stretch him ahead like Jordan.

Beyond that, Lebron hasn't even had a chance to do the things Jordan has done. The thing is, he's not on track to do those things either. Joining a player of comparable skill level and a 24/12 PF isn't a great way to close the gap. The whole thing with Mike was "can a guy put u these insane numbers and still win?". Lebron will most likely not put up crazy numbers on Miami because its not the best strategy for that team. At best he'll get big all around stats and be compared to Oscar but the MJ discussion is over.
