MIAMI vs Boston Keys to the Game

Hey guys I know there are some very knowledgeable hoop heads in here. I have an idea for a czar show I want to do but I think it would be better if I took the keys to the game from the community. SOOooooooooooooooo

Pick a team Miami or Boston and post your keys to the game for that team to win. Go as specific as you want including plays you think they will run that are in 2k11.

Go as light or as deep as you want. Still not sure I am going to do anything with this but thought I would ask just in case.

Just know anything posted here could be included in the show so keep that in mind if your going for an outrageous prediction.

Many might not believe me lol...But slowing down LeBron James is first on the Celtics list. I think they could deal with losing to a out of rythm Wade right now. Hasn't played all preseason. It will be nice to see how he comes back. It also will be nice to see the Super Friends all on the court at the sametime. With all these new fitting parts. You wonder how Miami will come out.

The Celtics on the other hand have a few new parts as well (Shaq and O'Neal). But KG, PP, Allen and Rondo are like a well oiled machine. I expect the Celtics to win this game.

As it usually comes down to with defense team. Rebounds is the number to keep an eye.

Rebounding may probably be the main key to Boston winning.

That big front line should and could smash the front line of Miami's if they apply themselves. Afterall as a famous one has spoken, you cant win the game if you dont have the ball.

Lower possessions for Miami, slow down the pace of the game, limit fastbreak opportunities. Make them work on both ends of the floor.

I'm guessing the Celtics will go big and clog up the lane. So I think the key will be whether Miami gets some outside shooting, whoever that will be since Mike Miller got hurt. James Jones I guess.

Pretty straight forward to me, the two biggest areas are the PG match up (with Rondo having the huge advantage of course) and the battle in the paint (defense at the rim and rebounding). You can pretty much rinse and repeat that for every game Miami plays vs a top team this year. I think Boston wins by 6-8 points.

One other thing I'm going to keep an eye is how Bosh performs. In a Finals-style atmosphere, a hostile environment, etc. Anxious to see if his heart pumps Kool Aid or if he's tough enough to bring it in this type of game.

Re: MIAMI vs Boston Keys to the Game

The key to the game will be if Miami can handle the big front court Boston will have out. With Garnett, Big Baby and the O'Neals, the Heat will need to find a way to slow them down and grab some boards. Bosh is their best post player, so he will need some serious help from whoever the random center will be. Also LeBron and Wade both love to drive to the rim. Good luck with that and those big Boston bodies.

Defensive match-ups will be interesting as well. Personally I think Miami should put Wade on Rondo and let Chalmers handle Ray Ray. We all know this is Rondo's team now, so containing him will be a big factor.

Finally, Miami must push the ball. They want to play up-tempo and they have all the keys to unlock that potential. If they run and gun right off the bat, Boston will get tired and start looking sluggish early in the fourth.

Is Chalmers or Arroyo the starting PG for Miami?

I think Arroyo....Erik seems to trust him more. Bring Mario off the bench for enegry on defense.

                    Miami - Foul Trouble
Boston is way too big for Miami down low. Shaq, Big Baby, Jermaine O'Neal. If Bosh gets 2 quick ones, Boston should dominate in the paint and on the boards. Also, Miami will be forced to double-down, leaving good 3-point shooters with good looks.

                    Boston - Bench Play
Boston has one of the best/veteran group of reserves in the league. Look for Nate, Big Baby and Delonte West to play key roles against Miami's group of bench players. LeBron and Wade will have to log huge minutes to keep up with the elite teams around the league and their bench is suspect.

Delonte is suspended for the first ten games.

I don't think Miami will be doing a lot of doubling on big men. The only guy I can see them doubling is KG. And for that to happen. He would have to be really hot. The only guys on the court that need double teaming is LeBron and Wade. Besides that...I think the coaches can live with a one on one basket from anyone.

Yeah I don't see Miami doubling Boston's bigs. KG is pretty much a jump shooter/high post player at this point plus a good passer, no point in doubling him. Shaq isn't good enough to demand a double team anymore though it won't be a bad idea to throw a few at him on the dribble, it'll probably force a turnover or two.

I'm interested to see how Boston plays defense on Lebron and Wade. Do you double team them? Or what? They've always doubled and shaded Lebron and Wade in the past but now I want to see what the gameplan is with both of them on the court, and if they do pay so much attention to Lebron and Wade while They use Shaq in the pick and roll will Bosh have a field day on the offense boards?
