Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
ParisB this should end all your talk about CP3 and Deron being faster and more explosive than Rose. Since you say none of us can convince you how about the words coming out of Chris Paul's mouth himself.

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
Oh no I'm not basing it strictly off of that but at the sametime, what other way is there to prove? I mean it's not like we can like these dudes up at Halftime and say "Ok, you and you will race from one end of the court to the other with the ball and who ever gets there first will be crown Fastest player in the NBA".On the one hand, I hear you about Harris Pack, but on the other the World Record thing doesn't really count for that much considering he set it back in 09 when Rose was a rookie and Wall and Lawson weren't even in the league. Also that wasn't a pre-existing record that he broke or anything, he's the first person recorded doing it as part of the All-Star festivities. So yeah, dude is definitely fast and should be considered when talking about this subject as he's at the very least in the top five of the discussion, but basing it off a record that no one else has even attempted to try to get, that he specifically set ain't really saying much.
I didn't want to come off like I was being homer(which is probably too late lol)but it wasn't like he lost a step or two over the last 2 years, especially since he's been known to be one of, if not the fastest dude in the NBA since he came in the league.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
Pack to me Harris is in the convo no doubt. He was one of the guys I was refering to when I said there are a few guys up there. I mentioned Rose and Wall by name cause I think the are the fastest and I mentioned Lawson to co-sign the OP with showing him some love and being right up there with them. Harris did seem like he didn't have the same burst at times last year though. I'm pretty sure it was cause of the injury issues though.Comment

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
you've obviously never watched d-will playYou got jokes, I see.
Seriously, Deron Williams? Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz?
That dude has the definition of average or above average athleticism. I cannot believe he's even being argued here, though. If we are talking about basketball talent, I'd put Deron right up there, but physical abilities, he's mediocre for a point guard.

Okay, so he can dunk...you've obviously never watched d-will play

He has average speed and a good first step. And since this thread is "Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League" I'm not sure what your point is. I'm sorry that you are blinded by homerism, but D-Will deserves no mention in this thread. None.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
I never said D-Will was the fastest guy, but just because you aren't the fastest guy doesn't mean you aren't athletic. Calling him mediocre in phsyical abilities is just plain ignorant. That's not homerism, that's the truth.Comment

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
Mediocre for an NBA player.
And he is.
And if you weren't talking about his speed, why even bring him up? You're basically trolling this thread just to talk about D-Will. He shouldn't be discussed in a thread about the fastest players with the ball.Too Old To Game Club

In fairness to him, ParisB is the one who brought up D-Will in this thing with his ridiculous statement that the two of them are leagues ahead of everyone else in speed and explosiveness.Comment

Re: Fastest Guy (With The Ball) In The League
ah, a bump of an old thread of mine.
Monta is up there, won't lie. his teammate, Steph Curry is deceptively fast, as well, but not at the level of all of these guys. Monta is certainly top 5 or 6.
I'm still convinced it's Ty Lawson...lol

Tony Parker leads the league for points scored in the paint by guards. He regularly gets there due to his quickness with the ball. Just sayinComment
