This Houston team is basically like Golden State or Sacto right? They are not nearly the scrappy defensive minded teams of the past.

Looking at Melo without the headband is weird. Did it get knocked off or he just came out without one?Comment

^^^ Thanks
Check out the Cavs, .500 without LeBron, certainly not the doom and gloom, complete trash of a team guys were acting like they would be without him and yes I realize it is still early, but so far they're doing well for themselves considering what they were supposedly going to be without the Almighty himself.Comment

Pretty sure I addressed exactly that in there. Not making any conclusions and I know it's early, but people were acting like they'd be just unbearably awful from jump after the LeBacle.Comment

Re: 11/15-11/21 Game Discussion Thread
They still have a chance to look very awful. Sure they've stayed .500 after 10 games, and looked decent [like an 8th seed] but I don't think they've shown me anything to say 'wow, those guys saying they suck were really wrong'.Comment

Re: 11/15-11/21 Game Discussion Thread
That's my point though and why I said, 'so far.' The talk all summer has been how absolutely horrible the team is and will be without LeBron and how much of a difference he'd make and there were people acting like they would be last year's Nets of this season. So far they were wrong and they were completely wrong about them coming out the gate as hot garbage. Ten games in I think it's fine for me to point that out, I'm not saying they won't still end up a bad team later on down the line, but thus far they are showing a lot of heart and doing well for themselves for what they were predicted to do. I know you're on your 'it's two/three weeks in' kick, but you really don't have to come with that at this point considering I'm not making any proclamations about the team's status in April or May based on these ten games.Comment

Re: 11/15-11/21 Game Discussion Thread
I know you're not making any proclamations, but I guess I'm just thinking, there's 70+ games left, I don't think these 10 show me much just yet.
During the Summer, I thought they were going to be atrocious. After pre-season, and seeing Hickson I felt a bit better about them and I thought their ceiling would be around 30-35 games. Now I would put it at .500 seeing Mo is still playing pretty well and Boobie coming out of nowhere... but I don't see them going much beyond .500.
Still says something about LeBron should Cleveland actually end up at around .500 in the Eastern conference. To elevate a team of that status to one of the elites in the league, a championship contender.Comment

Re: 11/15-11/21 Game Discussion Thread
JR Smith in the doghouse again? Shocked.
And he only played one minute in tonight's win against NY.
J.R. Smith didn't see the court during the Nuggets' loss to the Suns on Monday night.
According to Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post, coach George Karl decided not to play Smith because he showed up late for the morning's shootaround.
"Coach has also been down on him of late," added Hochman.
Smith has had a history of getting under Karl's skin, and as ESPN's Marc Stein reported Friday in the Weekend Dime, the team is determined to trade him.
Yet, Smith has also been a player the team has looked to move previously, and they've come up empty.
Smith is on an expiring $6 million deal, so that might make him more attractive around the trade deadline for teams looking to ditch salary.Comment

Tits Gibson is probably one of the most improved guards in the NBA so far this year. Dude has been excellent for us.
And I hate Mike Brown for keeping him on the bench.Too Old To Game Club
Urban Meyer is lol.Comment
