Re: Haslem out, possibly for a significant part of the regular season
Its about setting a tone with effort. I.E. leadership. Wade does this every year. Starts off nonchalant then turns it on. Lebron looks depressed out on the court.I agree with the tempo but rebounding is more than effort. It's about strength and the ability to go down there and bang. Bosh has no desire to do so nor does he have the strength to do so. LBJ's rebounding has always been and solid and as so has Wade's for a two guard. What more can they do?
Problems go deeper than that though. Should be interesting to see what happens.
Rebounding needs to be Bosh and James (he should have Shawn Marion rebounding numbers in Suns years).
Anyway the Heat look average and I wish all those people that were here earlier would tell me what is going to change this year. This team is about as good as the Heat team last year.Comment

Re: Haslem out, possibly for a significant part of the regular season
LOL at the Heat TV analyst on ESPN First Take this morning all butt hurt about people talking about the Heat and Phil Jackson's comments.
Is everybody down in that Heat organization taking stupid pills or something? People want to see that team fail, they put the bullseye on they're back with the way things went down and if anyone was ever going to get over it, they permanently etched the target on themselves with that ridiculous championship rally in July. When that thing is blowing up in their faces of course people are going to revel in it and talk smack, but since you guys brought on yourselves, just shut up and move along with your business.Comment

Re: Haslem out, possibly for a significant part of the regular season
This is probably the biggest on court issue that this team has. When your top three players are out there ‘chillin’, then the rest of the team feels that they can do the same. And all of this stems from the coach. Now the problems come in on, ‘How do you alleviate this issue?’ Do you bench or reduce the playing time of one, or two or all of the big three until they show more effort? You do that and you run the risk of making your best players very unhappy and making this season much worse than it is now. Or you can go with the alternative and just let things continue? And if you do that, then you basically just head down the road of being one of the greatest teams that never won a championship. And you definitely don’t want that.
In short, something has got to be done with those three. What it is, I don’t know. BUT you cannot let it continue the way it is now if you’re talking about playing basketball in June.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: Haslem out, possibly for a significant part of the regular season
Can we stop calling them the "Big 3" Just call em the big 2 1/2. Bosh isn't Big anything except cap space.
Just saw something funny on ESPN, I forgot when they had their laser light show they took questions after they danced around and LeBron said that practicing against eachother was going to be so intense because they were so talented that the games would be easy.
I'm also looking forward to Riley coming downstairs and "fixing" the situation.PSN: JISTIC_OS
