Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
He is here, moved up to #2 on NBA.com's rookie ladder passed Wall.
The stats don't lie -- Landry Fields is the best shooting and rebounding guard in the NBA. Not among rookies, but the entire league. He's pulling down boards at a clip of 7.2 per game, putting him just ahead of two future Hall of Famers in Dwyane Wade (6.1) and Kobe Bryant (5.8). Not only that, but he leads all guards (and rookies) in shooting, hitting on 54.9 percent of his shots. The next closest is San Antonio's Tony Parker (52. percent). With John Wall in street clothes, it's time to give Fields his due -- and the second rung on the Ladder.

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks' Landry Fields and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin today were named the Eastern and Western Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played from the start of the season (Oct. 26) through November.
Fields ranks fourth among rookies in scoring (10.8 ppg), second in rebounding (7.1 rpg), eighth in assists (1.6 apg) and second in field goal percentage (.544). He started all 19 games for the Knicks this season, leads all NBA guards in rebounds and is the only rookie in the top eight in scoring.Comment

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
Griffin should win it by a country mile.
He's been far more consistent and has been lighting it up while at the same time posterizing various opponents.
Plus, I saw Wall last night and he played like crap.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
I knew he would be a good player, no bust. But i didn't think he would be THIS good, he has proven his doubters wrong, and his stats are just astonishing. And i agree, he could see a couple of MVP awards throughout his career if he keep playing at this level.Comment

You guys apparently forget Griffin plays for the Clippers. Nothing productive ever comes from the Clippers while Sterling owns this team...Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
Yeah, right now..Griffin looks like he might wrap this thing up. Since Wall injury, he hasn't been doing the things he was doing before, and plus his jumper has went downhill..Still think once he gets healthy he'll get back in the running.

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
I think Blakes got bigger fish to fry so to speak. He's making a more than legit push for an All-Star appearance. If the Clippers can find a way to win a few games he has to get in. It doesn't hurt that the game's in LA.Comment

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
I didn't expect him to be such a monster so soon, but after seeing a couple of his training videos and workouts with the Clippers right after he got drafted, you can sense the dude is a special breed. He's like that Dolf Lungdren character in Rocky...straight up machine when training. His fundamentals are so solid too, the way he moves on the court or squares up when shooting. His footwork and coordination is ridiculous, like a polished point guard.
He has silky smooth speed and surprising power. Like somebody said, he has the physical dominance of Lebron, with speed like a guard, and strength like Dwight Howard.Comment
