    For Born:

Hope he gets that ban lifted. Of all the people to ban....SMH.

Anyways....I had to laugh watching highlights last night. I see old Kobe has stuck his head out again. Talking about the end of the Memphis game when Ron shot the 3 btw.

I think Kob was equally as pissed off at himself for not taking the shot or at least getting a better attempt for himself. He just wasn't decisive on his drive and dribbled into two defenders.

He probably knew that he could have gotten to the rim or to a sweet spot for a clean look at a jumper.

        Maybe.

To me it just seemed like he was pissed at Ron for taking the shot instead of him because he ran over with his hands up wanting the ball, then Ron shot it and Kobe got pissed.

Reminded me of the good ol' Kobe days for once.

Old Kobe is somewhat back though in terms of him hoisting shots.

They just need to get a freakin back up center for a few weeks. Pau is getting exhausted out there, he's 5th in minutes played overall and leads all big men in minutes.

It's frustrating, but then again LA has been in every single game they've played this year and they've never looked that "bad". Small adjustments and getting Andrew back will get them back on track.

Steve Blake has just been too good. Wow.

I wonder if Kobe just wants to show that he's not old yet. Since people have hinted his game will start to drop off soon, with all the NBA mileage on his legs from going straight from HS and all, maybe he's trying to prove he's still the best.

Wouldn't be surprised. He seems to get into these little mini challenges.

Against Indy, he was getting fouled a lot but refs weren't calling it. So he decided to up the ante and go full boar into the teeth of the defense, as well as hoisting up contested jumpers to try and score.

Against Memphis, when Tony Allen came in, Kobe tried to destroy him.

Little things like that seem to fire him up. Phil knows Kobe though, it's ugly now but in the playoffs Kobe will pull the reigns in.

Jackson said, "We're talking about playing our system a little more. We've been playing a lot of individual basketball."

And he said it before Tuesday night's game, when Kobe Bryant seemed to respond to a brief Tony Allen cameo a little too personally and threw up a series of wild heaves in the second and third quarters. At one point Kobe missed 11 straight shots, and few of them were quality attempts.

"That's OK when Kobe's going great," said Jackson of the one-on-one play, "but our transition balance isn't there, the offensive rebounding isn't there, those things that are created by playing in a system are missing."

The last three defeats have essentially been offensive losses, with L.A. scoring 96, 92 and 96 points and Bryant (79 shot attempts, 12 assists) having the ball stick in his hands a bit too much. While this creates the inevitable chicken-and-egg question of whether he's forcing it because nobody else is playing with enough energy, or if nobody else has any energy because Kobe is dominating the ball too much, the end result is the same: forced shots and empty trips.

Lakers always go through these little runts. They will be ok. And yes, Pau is playing way too many mintues.

How you gonna ban one of the absolute best posters we have here over some NASA politicizing? Nobody cares. Wow, that one really hurts the discourse here.

Also, those Kobe usage stats are bonkers. I had no idea he was still shooting like that this year... I've barely watched the Lakers except when the Nuggets beat them.

Looking forward to the Pacer game tonight. Jazz should be a good matchup. I like our team this year.

No Durant tonight but we'll also be without Devin as he's out the next 2 games. Hopefully we can make this 4 straight Ws at home against the Thunder.

My thoughts exactly, man. Nobody gives a damn about NASA. Dude couldn't even get a warning?

Moving on....surprised Hilton Armstrong was suspended a game for what happened in that Heat/Wizards game but Juwan Howard wasn't. Not that either of those guys are really a big deal or anything.

I think it has something to do with that NBA Cares stuff.

EDIT: Actually, the Raptors commentators just mentioned it has to do with an HIV/AIDs awareness program the league is doing. Everyone is wearing red/white ties, warmups, headbands, etc.
