That son of a ***** doesn't deserve to be called by his real name because his play has really been LOL or LMAO-like this year.

I am extremely interested to see how the Mavericks do this week. They have Portland, OKC, and Orlando at home -- three winnable games though I'd guess they will lose at least one of them. Last night Dominique Jones actually played pretty well against the Cavs despite shooting only like 2-10, so hopefully he will be able to give them at least a little help. Dirk should be back either tomorrow or Thursday to continue playing his MVP caliber call... but man, the loss of Butler, coupled with Rodrigue Beaubois' inability to return from his foot injury, is going to make things pretty tough on the Mavericks unless Butler's injury is less severe that originally thought. I'm expecting him to miss 8-10 weeks, and will be extremely happy to see him back any time before that. Until then, the rotation looks like:

Kidd/Barea/Jones
Stevenson/Terry/Jones
Marion/Stevenson
Dirk/Cardinal/Novak
Chandler/Haywood/Mahinmi

Boy... that team is going to need to play over their heads to beat almost anybody.

And on the subject of Brian Cardinal... can we agree that he's the worst forward currently playing in the NBA?

The next 10-12 games for my team are big. They most are winnable games and gives us a real good chance to make up some ground in the West. This stretch will really define who we are as a team provided we don't make any trades.

Lakers look like a pile of dog crap, it's time for Kobe to step up and be this supposed supreme leader. Though I feel confident they'll rep the west, if they don't get home court advantage they'll be in a world of trouble. People tend to panic or jump to conclusions but they're really not that bad off, yet. Unless they start multiple 4 game losing streaks I'm not going to favor any west team in a series over them.

Concerning the playoffs, I'm assuming relative good health for LA and Andrew being at least at the level he was last year in terms of health:

I doubt Tim Duncan's knee. I doubt the Spurs depth. I doubt Richard Jefferson in big moments in the playoffs.

OKC has no interior post presence. I still question who can stretch the defense outside of Harden and Durant.

Dallas' bigs do not scare me defensively, even if Andrew Bynum doesn't make it though the season. Jason Kidd does not concern me. Caron Butler may be out for the year and Matrix is inconsistent these days. LA has always done fairly well against Matrix.

the Magic host Golden State, Milwaukee, and Houston then travel to Dallas. Still riding the 5 game win streak, I will be interested to see if the new additions can keep performing (How long can anyone honestly expect to get nearly 15/5/5 out of Hedo). The first three games are certainly winnable, before the real test at Dallas. However, I actually think that the Magic will drop one of the first three then beat Dallas in a close game. We shall see though.

I dont know Ex......Tim Duncans knee? doubtful.

But our depth is why we have the record we have.....Especially the last few games. We have more coming as well.
Were going to need another big as well as the emergence of Splitter to sniff a deep playoff run though...

Tonight we will see if the Bobcats have "truly" improved since the coaching change.

EDIT: Forget that. Wallace isn't playing tonight, so it will get very ugly. Heat will win by 30+.
