I'm not a fan of Byron but I'm at least going to give him a pass this year. I'm not even sure some of these dudes would be good enough to cut it in the D League.

Blame his players or hold them accountable? There's a difference you know.#RespectTheCultureComment

And it's not like he's wrong in saying that either. Just look at the LeBron return game. The whole team was like that nerdy kid that's surrounded by hot girls with how scared/nervous they were.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. I mean he's accomplished some things. He's turned things around before. Regardless of which players were on his squad.
Oh and Kidd didn't have that great of a cast around him.Comment

Come on now...They were down like 89-36 at one point in the last two minutes of the third quarter. The usual 'we came out flat' crap doesn't cut it after a perfomance like that, especially not during a season like this after an offseason like that. You gotta lay into those guys for something like that and certainly show the fans of the team that you're not standing for perfomances like that.Comment

I can't say because I stopped watching after the ****show on December 2nd, but judging from what's been going on it's not like they've made much of a difference.
I just can't wait until we finally get players that actually give a damn. I don't care if it isn't the most talented group of players or anything, as long as they actually play hard. Things were looking that way for about the first month of the season, but after that everything just spiraled into ****tyness.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: 1/10-1/16 Games Discussion Thread
I was responding to Throne saying he couldn't play for a Coach that blames his players and I told him that there's a difference. Didn't say Byron was doing the latter but I was talking moreso in general.
As for Kidd and his cast, trust me. I already know ALL about that, especially when it came to the "which players carried a worst supporting cast the farthest" arguments on here.
Everything the Nets did successfully was pretty much all Kidd and we really seen how obvious that was once the 12 year old took over from Byron.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 1/10-1/16 Games Discussion Thread
Scott has a history of never taking blame and throwing players under the bus. Isolating players for reason I deem petty. This may not be as bad ,but this is his MO. How about taking some of the blame. You are the HC after all.You looking at the Chair MAN!

And they deserved to get thrown under 1,000 buses too.
As far as him not taking the blame, well you got me on that, but if someone were to ask him I'm sure he would admit it. You might be taking that quote out of context depending upon the question that was asked.Comment

I agree this was an extreme case. But he has a history of doing these things and alienating players in most cases his franchise players. Not that there is a franchise player in Cleveland. You looking at the Chair MAN!

That's all well and good, but to me, using this particular season for your agenda against Scott is amusing.
When you look at their situation, and the fact that Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison, the two best players on your team, talk about how it's the most embarrassing moment of their basketball careers... I mean what Scott said wasn't alienating anyone. The players themselves will tell you worse criticisms of their performances.Comment
