It's stupid stuff like that that guys are going to look at and not give it to him.
That's exactly what I feel...even in my very first post, I alluded to the lack of respect the Bulls would get. Skip Bayless kills me with his reasoning because Kobe is his MVP because he doesn't feel the Bulls are gonna win the championship. Kobe's team has been pretty healthy all season (aside from Bynum). Rose has missed Noah and Boozer for significant time...and the Bulls have a better record than LA! The Bulls have beaten EVERY elite team...the Lakers lost to Cleveland!

Anybody know when the ''more with less'' criteria came into play because it has not been that way in the past. What I mean by that is Jordan has 5, Bird 3, Magic 3, Nash 2, Malone 2, etc etc...these guys played with great players and in most cases HOF players.

I never like the argument either. I'm sticking to the best player best team record. I know bulls have had some up and downs injury wise.

Re: Who is your NBA MVP as of right now?

Jordan thinks Rose is the MVP. LOL at the bold.

Derrick Rose has established himself as a star in the NBA and a former player who knows a thing or two about being a star in the league feels Rose is now the brightest.

None other than Michael Jordan tabbed Rose the league's MVP Wednesday after the Bulls posted a 101-84 victory over Jordan's Charlotte Bobcats.

Jordan has been impressed with Rose's play this season and believes he is worthy of the league's top individual honor.

"MVP of the season," Jordan said. "He deserves it. He's playing that well. He deserves it. Without a doubt. And if he doesn't get it, now he'll see how I felt a lot of years."

Rose, who scored 20 points in the Bulls' victory, was excited to have earned the praise of the Bulls legend.

"That's huge, man," Rose said. "When the person that you're playing behind, all you hear about is Mike, especially in Chicago, look up to him. For him to say that, it's unbelievable. It's an honor and I'm speechless right now."

Rose is averaging 25 points, eight assists and four rebounds per game this season.

He is a major reason the Bulls are within 1.5 games of the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference and realizes that if he keeps on helping the Bulls pile up wins, awards will take care of themselves.

"It's great that he said that, it's an honor, but we're just trying to keep winning," Rose said. "The award, like I've said, it will come if we keep winning. But we're just trying to play hard, play together, and keep playing aggressive and play with an edge."

There is no "more with less" criteria. People are just pointing to the fact that Rose has lead the team to the place that it is without key players more long periods of time along with other things. All of the other guys in the convo haven't had to deal with the same level of injuries as the Bulls.

Amare missing the whole season played a major role in Nash winning his second MVP. If Amare would have played that year Nash probably wouldn't have won it.

Yea if anyone besides Rose wins. It will be the biggest upset of all time. I might not care about the award anymore.

Yeah that's a bit much---typical for basketball fans---but Rose is the clear-cut favorite for the award.

Just scares me, since MVP winners end up never winning the title in the same year for some reason.

Yea Martix31 that is one thing that bothers me. Bulls have been playing so well. I know a lot of people have been putting so much into that Noah and Boozer have been hurt. But Deng making it this far health has been totally amazing in my opinion. Lets see how it goes.

I can't in my right mind give the award to DRose. It's turned into a Nash situation where he'll win it, but I don't think he should. I still would have to give it to LeBron or Dwight. And as blasphemous as it really is to say, I wouldn't even mind Westbrook getting it over Rose.

It's really nothing against Rose either, I just think his game is a bit out of whack in terms of stats etc. because he's been forced to do more than he really should be doing out of circumstance. (Not that I expect people to even be on my side here, it's just the way I feel when I look at all the advanced stats etc.)

And even if you go with most valuable to team, then I still feel like Dwight would be more important because I fear to think about what that defense would be without him now.
