You can't just simplify it to that level IMO. Cleveland, for all the deficincies they had when it came to the playoffs, were a team perfectly built for the regular season.

They were one of the most cohesive units in the league.

You can't just say "oh Bosh/James/Wade = 55 wins". I could understand if they had Miller/Haslem all healthy and if they had a bit more decent of centers.

      But they don't
      Why can't I?

They're on pace to win 57 right now without them (Haslem & Miller) being factors this season and with them struggling out of the gate a little. Over/Under for wins according to Vegas was 66. If anything, I low-balled them with 55.

Yes I do and reason he is not on the best terms with the media is because of the decision and not what he does on the court.

          I'll put it another way:

By the eye test, comparing this particular Miami team to James' past teams, I would venture to say that it's more impressed with James this year even with Wade/Bosh. I said before, they're doing all the labor.

I say you can't simplify because basketball is much more than a 3 man sport. Especially considering how paper thin they were to begin with and then suffering further injuries.

The fact that they are on pace to win that many games to me strengthens what my point.

Even with Cleveland turning into a NBDL team?

They had a system in place in Cleveland, they had a certain level of defense in place and they were honestly winning with ease during the regular season for the past two years. Regardless, yes it was still amazing as to how many wins LBJ led them to.

This season with the lack of chemistry, support players and injuries, I feel like it's almost nails on a chalkboard sometimes with Miami on offense. On defense the guy is having to do it all on the perimeter and the interior [along with Wade].

Yet they're still one of the top teams in the league and James is still producing absurd numbers.

Cleveland and LeBron, were well known front-runners. The reason they stacked so many regular season wins was because they played good defense and they flat out tried harder than anyone else. That's the reason they choked in the playoffs. When the other teams were cranking up their defense/overall intensity, the Cavs were already playing balls to the wall and couldn't match them. Look at how Boston and to a lesser degree San Antonio usually plays (not this year) the regular season. Those teams know they don't necessarily need homecourt to advance. Boston was always better than Cleveland, but because the Cavs stacked so many (meaningless) regular season wins, the "experts" tabbed them as heavy favorites to win the title the past 2 seasons. I believe myself and Mosesshuttlesworth were the only 2 people who picked Boston when they matched up with the Cavs last year.

There's no reason to assume they won't be a top 3 team in the West if he can stay healthy even with the loss of Butler.

At this point it would be pretty hard for anyone not named Derrick Rose to be considered MVP. This could obviously change, but him having the Bulls where they are with Noah and Boozer having both missed significant time both seperate and at the same time is pretty damn amazing.

As much as I hate to say it because I hate the Bulls but Derrick Rose is my MVP. He is doing more with less around him than anybody. I know Knick fans will say wait what about Amare look at what he's doing, but as for me its the scheme he is in that make him excel but as long as they don't play D they will be just another 1 of Dantoni's wussy *** teams. I would put Amare on the MVP list but as for me Derrick rose is a lock IMO. And this is coming from someone who hates the Bulls with all my heart.

Yeah guys that are as athletic as there is in the league besides LeBron and Blake Griffin and also has a good jumper to complement it is obviously just a result of being in an up-tempo system...

Rose is the MVP for me, but to say Amare only excels because of Dantoni's system is just foolish. The guy is like 6'10", can run the floor, can jump out the gym, and knock down jumpers. He'll get his points in any system there is.
