We actually play again tonight, riding a 3 game losing streak and missing 2 starters again lol. Think we have 5 showing up, if the shot is dropping I might be aiming for 40 boys lol. All joking aside my brother is a really good shooter, I play lots of drive and kick game when we play together. That was easy in the past, but being older and removed from basketball for awhile it's not so easy for me to just get wherever I want on the court. I used to be great at drawing help, these guys sticking me single coverage is hurting my pride a bit.

Update I looked like a ****ing baby horse that didn’t know how to use his legs yet.. significantly worse than the past two games. Fun times.

I’m not nearly that tall. Somewhat tall for a guard though, probably somewhere around 6’3-6’4 with my ball shoes on. Back when I could jump I always claimed 6’2 because it sounded better when a 6’2 was touching the top of the box lol. I’d like to say I could still run point but the quickness is gone. I’m more like Mike Miller after his back was bad and one of his shoes fell off at this point.

I've actually been pretty unlucky injury wise but somehow I'm still kicking. I've had 18 total surgeries in my life, head to toe, all kind off miscellaneous **** but It's just a blessing to still be playing.

Good grief. You guys have me feeling all kinds of thankful for what I've been able to avoid up to this point. Here I was thinking my occasionally sore ankle was annoying.

I've have 18 total surgeries in my life, head to toe, all kind off miscellaneous **** but It's just a blessing to still be playing.

Good lord. Are they all from injuries and sports-related stuff?

My lone surgery was absolute misery. Four incisions in my left flank to fix a problem with my kidney not draining. I was told it'd be an easy recovery--3-4 weeks--but it took 14 months before I was pain-free. Scar tissue plus all of my back problems made for a nasty cocktail of nerve problems. I still randomly get numbness and burning in both feet but at least the debilitating pain has stopped. I hope I never need another surgery.

4 are a direct result of sports.

The others are a result of something I grew up with, and ****y luck.

I'm definitely the million dollar man out here [emoji38]

but like I said, it's a blessing, I can still play, and play at a pretty decent level.

Oddly enough, the most minor, my meniscus repair is what bothers me the most to this day out of it all.

Anybody else have wide feet? I wear a size 10 4E which is extra wide so finding shoes that aren’t New Balance is basically impossible. I tried some LeBrons on yesterday and begrudgingly bought them hopefully I can break it in and stretch it out but my foot was hurting with them on. Need a recommendation on a wide/extra wide bball shoe. New Balance came out with a bball shoe but it’s sold out in wide

DRose 773's are a great wide foot shoe and shouldn't cost you more than $65-$70

I actually got a shoe widener on Amazon...may have solved my problem. It's just this device you stick in your shoes, crank it so it widens and keep it in there for about 24 hours
