Lol good one... Just saw the lakers-heat highlights... That play that wade made on kobe for the turnover. That had been in the scouting report for years. Boston has done that to him a few times (namely rondo).

First win in Phoenix since 2004, Lawson had a career high in assist with 11. Good game tonight

Ugly loss for Phoenix tonight. Chalk it up to "one of those", I guess.

Didn't watch a second of the Miami/LA game, but hilarious how, like clockwork, all the Laker fans are dismissive. "Oh, we'll see in the playoffs bro". I'm seriously thinking of making a satirical rap song with "We'll see in da playoffs bro" being the main line. Even funnier is everyone going crazy over Kobe staying "oh so long after" and showing his "dedication" and "heart", taking shots and all that. PR master indeed. Take the attention off the loss (which obviously doesn't matter anyway, because it's in the regular season, bro) and put the attention on his work ethic. Nevermind that he and so many others have done this so often with absolutely no fanfare and attention.

The NBA and NBA media make me ****ing sick.

You should use xtranormal for the song.

I'm sure those same people who were saying "We'll see in da playoffs bro" were saying a lot after the Lakers beat the Spurs.

                  Kobe (Still) Doin’ Work

                  From NBA.com:
As I write this, the Knicks and Mavs are about to start the fourth quarter of the second game of tonight’s TNT doubleheader.

Meanwhile, back in Miami, about two hours after the final buzzer of Heat 94 – Lakers 88, Kobe Bryant is shooting … and shooting … and shooting.

According to the tweets of several writers who were at American Airlines Arena to cover the game, Bryant is back on the court and has been shooting for almost an hour, apparently motivated by his 8-for-21 performance against the Heat.

The Lakers are staying in Miami overnight before flying to Dallas for Saturday’s matchup with the Mavs, who they now trail by two games in the loss column for second place in the Western Conference. And it’s not like there’s anything else to do in Miami, right?

Here’s the photographic evidence from Kevin Ding of The Orange County Register.

                  Thoughts?

The Laker fans here (the regular guys at least) have always been classy. But, my goodness the typical ones, make me have have bad thoughts.

                          About Kobe "extra practice"

I thinks it's more about sending a message to the rest of the Lakers, than trying to get his jump shot right.

Yea he could be just sending a message. I worry about things like that. You got to have some down time. When Kobe was younger I could understand doing this. But he is a little older now. So you have recover.

After 8-21 night.. I probably would get a few shots up myself. In my opinion though. I hate that Kobe doesn't shoot a high field percentage. I've always thought he could shoot at least 48%. His game just has too many effective ways to score to shoot the percentages he shoots.

Looks like Bosh went to the "Christmas day Bosh" when he went wild in LA. If he can crash the boards like that this Heat team will be scary. And I want to add. Mike Miller has been a beast on the boards for a shooter.

I feel like a fortune teller. Between this thread and the Lebron thread, all predictions/factors came true.

-LA's big men came up small too often, with Bynum not showing up till the 2nd half, Bosh outplaying Gasol and mike miller rebounding like Kevin Love.

-LA didn't shoot great, Barnes, Blake and Brown missed threes that would have pushed the bench advantage. Kobe cooled off for a while.

                              - Spoelstra used Lebron as a screener for Wade. Crazy. Thought it was something he should do, but not something he would do.

Still, think this was ultimately good for the Lakers. There were a lot of positives for them. They need to lose once in a while or they'll start coasting again. This will keep that fire burning, which they need going into a much more important game in Dallas. Also glad to see Miami take a big game. Now maybe Wade will be the closer and we can all get a break from what was becoming a spectacle in basketball news.

Mike Miller is a underated rebounder. He really has been crashing the boards. But if they can get 10-12 points from him a night. That would be golden.
