EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure. -
Re: 3/7 - 3/13 Game Discussion Thread
Like I said, it's a show. Ulterior motives---ALWAYS----for Kobe.
"Look at my dedication, I'm so awesome...oh, that loss? Forget about it. I know, I know, I always say it doesn't matter, it's just another game, and wait til' June, but I'm still gonna work out an hour after the game. I just want to, okay?!"Comment

Re: 3/7 - 3/13 Game Discussion Thread
1. I would wager that there are a number of NBA players who stick around after games to get extra shooting in. Kobe isn't special in that regard.
2. Matrix, please stop. You swear as if Kobe personally had a press conference announcing he would be shooting after the Miami Heat game-- like Kobe had personally placed cameras courtside to capture him shooting some jumpers. Please stop it's getting more than old. Nobody asked the media to make a big deal out of him staying after.Comment

Another media created story, I am almost positive Kobe is not the first to do this. If this was Bynum or someone else we would not even know about it but everything Kobe does is news for some people.Comment

Re: 3/7 - 3/13 Game Discussion Thread
Yep, it's obvious that other players do this and have been doing this. So of course after a marquee loss, the media is going to try to make a story of Kobe's "dedication". Which in turn lures out all the hate from Laker/Kobe haters. It would be nice if people here wouldn't fall for such transparent agendas, and not add fuel to the fire. Oh well, I doubt that will ever happen here or anywhere on the interwebz.
On to some actual basketball:
Good news for Chicago fans...
While the Bulls have improved on both ends of the floor, it is mainly their improvement on the defensive end that has them in the hunt for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Pencil them into the finalsComment

We are still on this Kobe thing lol....
I got tickets to tonights Nets game section 9. I haven't been to a Net game since Allen Iverson was in town his rookie year.
It sucks that Deron won't be even playing. But at least I get to see Blake Griffin in person.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Just the usuals, lol.
Nothing special goin on tonight... except Gerald Wallace's return to Charlotte.
Dude said Charlotte stabbed him in the back. I hope Wallace drops 25 and 20 on MJ and company. Let's go

Re: 3/7 - 3/13 Game Discussion Thread
I agree that he got shafted but Wallace is a SF playing PF.
And Jackson is a SF/SG playing at the 2 guard way too much at his age.
They were an alright combo, but I dont think u can build around that specific combo.
Wallace is a role player, not a Franchise Big Man that is inexpendable.Comment

Re: 3/7 - 3/13 Game Discussion Thread
So, glad that it is a Friday Night. If not, the arena would be half empty. I hope that they give him a ten minute standing ovation. I know it is an over used saying, but he never took a possession off. He was the heart and soul of the team. I will always be a Gerald Wallace fan for the years of blood, sweat, broken bones, concussions, and a collapsed lung he gave for the city and franchise.Comment
