I wasn't the one making these comments, but i'm not seeing how that is a terrible bench. I'm not gonna say it's great, but I think you could find worse.

For a Top 4 team(like the Hornets repeatedly were all summer)that bench is BASURA!

That's how we do things in the south, player. Take our team seriously. And 4th seed was the idea, but I was assuming Thornton would be the starter and continue to get better and better. But that never materialized. He never got out of Monty Williams doghouse and we had a gap in our frontcourt bigs. Landry takes care of that, but now the gap is at 2 guard. Also Ariza's offense has been impossibly horrible. No one could've foreseen that.

And it's not like we were just guffawing blind predictions, we were giving actual arguments and reasons. And we got laughed at. But whatever.

Anywho, most teams shorten their benches in the playoffs anyway. Jack's been a starting point guard before. Landry would've come off the bench and been solid, but with West's probable long term injury, things have changed drastically.

The bench hardly are out on the court all together. Look at the Lakers do they have a back up center? The bench as it would be would be more than good enough for a 1seed. Look at the Spurs bench hell look at their entire roster. If we were able to deal West and Okafor for Howard we IMO are the best team in the West.

Paper pretty benches are so overated...

considering one team won a ship with

Vaughn\ Barry\ Finley\ Horry\ Elson

and another won a ship with

E House\ T Allen\ Posey\ Powe\ PJ Brown

Its all about how the pieces fit. Folks need to realize LA is a special case...not the norm on how every teams going to look...

All that said: I dont think that wins NO a ship lol, just sayin

Yeah...even I never said we could contend. Make a lil' noise. Be a tough out. But we don't have all the right pieces to win.

One problem with that trade proposal:

Why would the Magic deal Duhwight to NO for an aging West and take on ANOTHER awful contract in Okefor? And even if somehow magically, ya'll could pull that off(which would also mean it'd be winter in Hell)that still wouldn't make you the best TEAM in the West.

But whatever, no point in further discussing a move that ain't gonna happen and for a team that ain't gonna do anything serious no time soon.

And one team had the greatest PF of all time and one of the greatest Coaches of All Time while the other team had 3 HOFers on the team as well.

Really? Considering Jannero injuries kept him off the team can you really go there? The Hornets are still in contention for the 4th mathematical and realistically the 5th spot when most said they wouldn't make the plaflyoffs at all. Even with all the instability on our bench.

Arguements are pointless, it was just one guy's idea and talking about people who aren't with the team. Hornets are very much alive for the 5th seed, who knows now with the West injury but 5th isn't far off from 4th if they were to get it.

I was talking about the entire team period and not JUST benches, which is now a moot point because we both know that team ain't gonna do **** anyway, even with that bench.

I never said it would happen just that it would make our team a title contender. Before West Injury (I really hope it wasn't as bad as it looked) it's not a terrible move for them roster wise. Now financially is another story, but just sticking to the rosters Nelson/Richardson/Turkulo/West/Okafor is a playoff starting 5.
