It's a terrible deal if you think you could get Duhwight simply for West and Okefor.

But like I said earlier, ya'll got bigger problems to worry about than thinking about Duhwight at this point.

Its funny because after their rookie seasons a lot of guys (me included) thought Okefor would end up being the better player. Well as we can all see its not even close. Dwight is much better but Okefor is still a quality starting center imo and you could do much worse then him.

I wouldn't make the deal if I were ORL. I'm sure Howard will bring a better deal if he forces a trade. The only chance the Hornets have is if Howard demands to play with Paul.

Hypothetically I don't see too many situation where Howard would go to that wouldn't have to give up their core players to get him.

OKC would have to give up to much. LAL and Bos are on a down swing. Chi maybe but, who do they give up I guess anybody but Rose.

All depends on what the new CBA will look like.

I could say NJ/Brooklyn but I'd be playing the homer card so I won't use that one.

Speaking of the Magic, let's see if Brook can have a repeat good performance against Duhwight tomorrow like he did before. Not expecting Deron back for this one(more than likely the game against the Knicks since it'll be on National TV)so just don't get blown out is all I'm asking for, Jersey.

Who else would you guys offer besides Lopez? You traded away your assets to get Williams.

Ofcourse the new CBA will be huge.

Who knows. Like I said, it all depends on the new CBA.

Who knows if they would even trade him, to be honest.

Yeah there's a lot of talk about a franchise tag in the NBA. That would really hurt the players leverage in situations like these. On top I'm sure the owners will be pushing for a hard cap so that in itself would limit the teams that would have budget for not only Howard, but Paul because he will be on the market the same time as Dwight.

Go figure it was just a pipe dream from me. I even said them pairing up is more likely to happen in ORL not NO.

As long as the NBA owns the Hornets, you think they would trade it's only draw away?

Makes it all the more crucial for us to pass this thing off the Gary Chouest. Inside word is that he never said he didn't want to team, just that he didn't want to buy it directly from Shinn and not just then. Being the CEO of an offshore oiling and ship building company, I'm sure that infernal BP incident knocked some cogs a loose for him.

I just pray he really does get back in, cuz I don't know of any locally invested billionares that could buy the team that won't want to move the team to friggin' San Jose or something.

Also, early word is that David West didn't tear anything, X-rays are negative, but have to wait for an MRI to confirm what early exams have shown. Either way, some good news is better than nothing.

LOL I hope not, but there is no telling what will happen or when they will find a buyer for the team.

Hopefully West is Ok and the MRI are negative. We need him if were going to make noise in the playoffs.

Yeah the longer a local based buyer (aka Gary Chouest) waits the less likely the team stays in New Orleans.

I figure things have to be progressing behind the scenes because we just launched a new ticket advertising campaign and finalized a TV deal to get more Hornets game broadcast locally to people that used to have to find illegal streams or listen to the radio to follow the team's games that weren't on ESPN (which is like all but ONE game this year).

I have to figure the NBA wants us here and think it can work. But still...until that owner is found, it's up in the air.

Yeah when I heard that it made me optimistic about the chances we have of keeping the team. Mr. Chouest may be working behind the scene. I can't imagine a billionaire passing up a chance to be a major sports team owner. Unless George Shinn is selling the team ofcourse lol.
