both teams have good guards but Denvers guards are more athletic than Portlands imo

That's actually a good point. Denver has scorers everywhere except the interior. Felton/Lawson/Gallo/Smith/Chandler... I think they're gonna run into identity problems though once the playoffs hit. But at least they have Afflalo as a glue type player. Nene will probably disappear like he always does around this time and KMart is Kmart, a hot headed fugazi. I dunno.

I guess I just like Portland's ability defensively with Matthews/Batum/Wallace/Camby.

They also have decent scoring with Matthews/Batum/Aldridge/Roy off the bench

And they know what they are and what they do on both ends of the floor. Wallace has come right in and fit in seamlessly.

The NBA is having Green Week? After like three weeks of Noche Latina?

Hey NBA, shut the **** up with your stupid gimmicks and fix the game before worrying about other crap.

          Bynum's hurt?

Who is more valuable to Lakers? Gasol or Bynum?

                Gasol IMO.

He's the Robin to Kobe and they've won a title without Bynum already. Plus Gasol is one of the best passers in the post in the league.

If the Lakers want to win this year, they are going to need both of them.

You know what though, if these past two years Gasol was the one injured and Bynum was the one fully healthy, I have no doubt in my mind they still win. The two of them are that good that they really only need one of them.

Gasol. I don't know I just don't get the hype with Andrew Bynum. The way people rave over the guy, you'd think he was averaging 25 points and 14 rebounds a game.

I've seen a ton of these Lakers since the late 90's, and I will have to say I disagree with this.

Bynum simply isn't good enough to be the only Robin.

He benefits immensely from Odom/Gasol being at his side.

I will say if it was only Kobe/Gasol/Odom, I don't think they would have beat Boston last year.

Gasol is much more versatile. Much more consistent. Just a guy who can make the game easier for his teammates much more than Andrew can.

It's not all about numbers. His shot blocking/contesting alone is massive for the Lakers.
