Everyone.

Rondo will never get the respect until he goes into another situation or until KG/Ray/PP retire.

Whether that's fair or unfair it's the truth. It's hard to truly put him in the same breath as CP3/Rose/Williams etc. because of who he plays with. For now it more seems fair to class him just below them.

I'm fairly certain a lot of people are waiting for him to elevate a team not of Boston's caliber before they put him in the elite of elite class.

So D'Antoni's comment was pretty "dumb" it was also just what everyone else was thinking and already saying anyway. So I can't hate on the coach too much for popping off.

I agree with Jason... But I do understand where Ex is coming from.

Is there anyone in the leagues history that is comparable to Rondo? The only guy that really comes to mind is Magic (without the defense).

I think the Celtics are a great team because of Rondo. He's not the only reason, but he's one of the main reasons.

Every PG the Celtics get is trash compared to Rondo. If Rondo is really only getting these numbers because of the players around him, how come Delonte, Nate and Carlos Arroyo don't look like superstars?

Yep I am of the same opinion. Rondo makes that team go.

People will never see that or admit it until he has "worse teammates".

But I can't front, I would love to see him on Minnesota just like Mike said. I'm not so sure what would result...

For now Rondo strikes me as a guy who can get you a title so long as he is in the exact right fit.

That's what kind of separates him from universal talents like Rose/Williams/CP3 etc.

It is what it is. I still think very highly of Rondo regardless.

As far as other Celtic PG's not being able to have the same success as Rondo, that's irrelevant. Nobody is saying Rondo is trash they're just not putting him in the elite category yet. So that doesn't matter.

This is actually a really valid assesment of the situation. Rondo is good and he'd be good anywhere. But we all know there's a difference between good and elite. Rondo isn't good enough to lead a team himself and his offensive game needs a ton of work. If he's on a team where guys can't consistently make shots and he's denied the lane. How good would he truly be? Not to knock him, but if you're talking about him at the top of the PG list, that's a question that needs to be asked.
