Well i certainly dont think Dallas will "throttle" them, and I very much doubt there are many Mavs fans who think this will be an easy series. "Easy" series are kinda hard to find in the western conference.

anyway, do you remember the Blazers "throttling" a team in the first round? Do you remember the Bill Clinton administration?

Heh i'm not reading too much into it all considering it's days before he even plays and it was in NO. Knowing the way CP3 usually is he was prolly in the gym/practice all morning

        This a complete non-issue(unless your CP3's girlfriend).

I would much rather him be on a New Orleans stage than a Colorado resort.

I can only just hope that CP3 decides to go all out this series not kinda coast like he's done at times in the regular season.

            Dal in 6
            OKC in 7

Dal/Por and OKC/Den is going to be interesting, it can go either way.

Hornet's fan just won't come to grips with the facts. CP3 isn't "coasting". This is who he is now. Just like Brandon Roy, his knees are shot. The days of CP3 being elite are over.....

                    RAWDEAL REPORT

                    SPURS IN 6
i think the grizzlies give the spurs some trouble but in the end they fall short. i think Duncan has a solid series.

                    Thunder in 6.
should be a real good series. really want to see how J.R. Smith performs. he is the closest the nuggets have to a go to guy. should be fun watching NENE & Perkins go at it. wouldnt be surprised if the Nuggets won but in the end i dont see that happening

                    Mavs in 7.
another series i will keep my eye on. i was very close to picking the Blazers but i just couldnt do it. seeing that Lamarcus starts C, i think Tyson will do a good job of defending him. home court prevails in the end though. but, i can also see portland winning this series too.

                    Lakers in 5.
i think the hornets win either game 3 or 4 out of pure laziness. this should be a sweep though.

Spurs over Thunder in 7. maybe next year Durant. baby steps.
                    Lakers over Mavs in 6

Lakers over Spurs in 6. too much size.

I've seen too many great games by CP3 still this season to believe that, I do believe however that he has been still rehabbing his knee and getting used to it. Gotta wait one more season to make that judgement considering he still put up 16ppg 9.8ast 4.1rpg 2.35stl this season and imo for a PG that's still elite.

CP3 is still elite. On bad knees the guy is still a top 5 PG.

I don't think he was necessarily coasting through the season but I do think he's been keeping some left in the tank so to speak. I think he still has and can reach that extra gear in the playoffs.

Chris Paul isnt Brandon Roy, two seperate situations....

we all hope that he wont become him the next couple of years.....but a hobbled Paul is still a great player....ill take 15 9 and 4 anyday. Theres perfectly healthy PGs that dont average that.....

This. While nobody really knows how bad CP3 knee is if you watched him consistently this year you know he coasted many times this season. He is only one year removed from the injury and those type injuries take two years to get back to 100% if at all possible. Next year will tell the real story when it comes to Chris knee.

CP3 was definitely not 100% all year. That huge honkin' knee brace he spent most of the year in should be proof enough. But, while I don't have the link, but he had 45ccs of fluid drained from his knee right before he had two of his best games of the year, one of which he dropped a near triple double.

I'd say it's a sure bet that he's been taking it kinda easy, playing hard when the team needed him to the most. Which is why he had 6 point games against teams like the Knicks and that 0 pointer after they'd locked up a playoff spot.

Don't know if he'll be enough, but I can't wait to see what he's got saved up.
