But he's still young. He could...maybe...sort of could grow out of it.
I think a big thing is he was on teams with the wrong coaches. I really hold Byron Scott responsible for his clear unwillingness to groom young talent. Despite how everybody feels about high school players coming into the league coaches have to groom them. There were many reports in the Times stating that Smith would go to Scott for advice on how to be a better pro and Scott would brush him off.

Ultimately Smith is an adult(if only in age)now and has to find ways to mature and be become a better pro on his own. I think Karl is better as a teacher, but I don't think Smith isn't as willing to learn now as he was as a younger player. If he never reach his potential it would be a shame. He has shown flashes hopefully another change of scenery will do him some good or perhaps some fimiliar scenery. We could use his size, scoring and athletism at the 2, but he and Williams would most likely not get along.

Good to see Denver be down 0-3 and quiet that little movement. Now it's on to bigger and better things for this OKC team that some people still refuse to respect as serious contenders.

And to me, Memphis/SA has LA/PHX written all over it. Memphis might pull out game 4, go up 3-1... lose to SA on the road, come back home and lose in a close game, then get blown out in game 7. Ugggh.

Good chemistry + athleticism on the win + athletic bigs + 2 legit stars + a competent coach = problems.

There's this guy on the bottom sideline in a Kobe jersey and holding a yellow dishrag or something.

He's starting to annoy me...some how.

Paul should be doing that everytime kobe switches on him, kobe can't play defense like he used to in 1999

Great way to finish the half Hornets. Let's play with that same effort in the 2nd half.

Great half, watching CP3 run an offense can be just a thing of beauty. Ariza is playing the smartest i've seen him play all season, as in he's not settling for jumpers and when he does he's getting them in rhythm not just spot up.

Beli can drain shots when he's hot with the best of them, but he can't guard Artest and he's kinda cold this series. Try some more Willie or Q-Pon

Good stuff by the Hornets. There being scrappy right now and I like it. I love Kobe to death, but for some odd reason I want New Oreleans to pull off the upset in this series.

Bynum's knees should have been torn on that CP3 cross.
