Re: Western Conference Playoffs - Second Round Discussion Thread
Good stuff Dallas
Series started off pretty interesting with Dirk/Kobe going crazy.
If I'm an LA fan I'm still pretty optimistic, as Lakers choked a big lead away.
Throughout the playoffs it seems like Andrew and Pau have yet to really find a rhythm offensively.
Last year it seemed like with the injury to Andrew, Pau was really the main option inside. This year the splitting of the touches seems to really be adversely affecting Pau's play. He doesn't seem involved and really looks out of it. Even though Pau had a better game than Andrew tonight [until the very end of the game], they're gonna have to figure this thing out as both are finally healthy at the same time in the stretch run. It's a new dynamic for them, and what further complicates things is the fact that you have Kobe Bryant on the wing still as willing as ever to shoot.
All in all, things still looking up. Hopefully Lakers learn to stick with Terry on rotations and let Kidd try and score in traffic instead of collapsing on him and giving Terry open looks off drive and kicks.
Other than that you have to live with Peja/JJ/Brewer etc. etc. taking and making shots. Better than Dirk/Terry getting open looks.Comment

And that is precisely why I always say Bynum playing is highly overblown and is even a welcome addition.

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - Second Round Discussion Thread
I see what you're saying.
I wouldn't take it that far as saying it's a welcome addition, because my money is on Phil figuring this thing out for them.
I also believe Kobe will adjust and/or eventually light a fire under both of his big men's behinds. Pau definitely showed signs of life tonight, it's just a matter of involving both of them offensively. I would think they could figure that out quickly.Comment
